Loyal Cathar's flipped side could be that art that shows a Cathar digging of its grave. Maybe something like: "If ~ would be put into a graveyard from the battlefield, transform it instead".
Have you noticed the email in the bottom of MaRo's article?
If you send any email to that adress you will get this short story:
I knew it was the right thing to do, I knew it was what Pitre would
have wanted. Beheading is the only way to keep someone from turning,
and there was no way to be sure whether he had been bitten or not.
But now my hands are forever stained, so I have decided to turn them
over to Avacyn.
For these reasons, and many more, I beseech you to admit me to your
humble order. I have no reason to remain here in Gavony.
The flavor text for M12's Taste of Blood quotes Bran Stoker's Dracula. Wasn't a WotC policy not to quote "real world" novels in their Magic cards? Or I just missed other recent cards like this one?
I think people are getting overexcited about phybrid spells. We got a glimpse of colored artefacts. I don't imagine they pushing it to spells that soon.
The only two cards with phybrid costs in that preview are artefacts. Phyrexia and artefacts makes sense. Phyrexia and colorless spells don't make that much sense. I don't think they will be playing colorless spells again so soon.
I think the fact that he is not actually titled 'Karn, Father of Machines' points to his 'Mirran' alignment.
I was thinking about this... Could there be any chance of seeing both Karn "States" in the same set? (After all, time travelling can lead to this crazy outcomes)
Yes, but still doesen't makes much sense to me.
As Horseshoe_Hermit said, it's not a kind of magic we would espect Grixis mages to develop. This spell is not easily assorted with black. In fact it has so a strong synergy between the two colors (U/R), that i think it could easily be part of eventide, as a hybrid...
I have read all pages in this topic, and I am very confused with one question:
How does we have U/R and U/G in Alara? The planes shouldn't have any acess to enemy color mana. There's no shade of red mana in Esper, or blue mana in Jund...
Are those still spells from time before the shards?
