Yea, its totally legit. They have conventions for Bronies as well. Howard Stern has spoke about it:

Nope, you aren't the only one thinking it. After the last thread, I spoke with the mods about it (that through the many RLA threads Duce has started, there's a common root issue that we can't really help him with) because I felt his threads were soon going to start inciting more frustration and impatience with him than actual progress. It's clear at this point that he is the major source of his problems but isn't willing to accept that and deal with it. Until that changes, we're just going to keep having a thread a month with some minor incident where he reacted immaturely and made it worse then came here looking for validation.

I feel comfortable enough coming here for advice/feedback. Its never my intention to get users frustrated. Yes, outside of this, I'm seeking help to understand some issues.

As for this incident, I think my first response to her was poor, but the fallout I handled fine.

You treat you coworkers and students like they were douchebags.

    Most often they are.

No update as of yet. Been more relaxed about the whole thing. In the long run, its less work for me if she wants some control.

No exaggeration. This is what MY colleagues told me. I wasn't in the room at that point.

The ball is in his court now. Its up to him to get me the pics. I'll use them, but if he ever so desperately wants to work with me, he needs to get me his ****ty pics.

Just got a knock on my door. IT WAS THE KID! He came to apologize to me about the presentation. I told him its ok and wasn't mad but he wanted to collaborate with his club in providing photos for the website, yearbook and what not. I told him sure. So there's a shared photo drive on the school network. Anyways, guess it worked itself out.

Again: I think by emailing all the students asking for pictures, it includes other students wanting to grow in photography as well. I can even CC the head, just to let him know that I'm encouraging all students to take photos and share them on the website.

I thought about this a while. Maybe if I send an email to ALL faculty and students saying that "anyone's pictures would be very much appreciated..." so and so, just to show that I'm willing to compromise?

Did he mention your particular name during the presentation, does he know that you're the photographer?

Ok but honestly if I gave in and asked for his pics wouldn't that make me the, you know. Its humiliating if I give.

This sounds like your issue is that someone took better pictures than you. I suggest approaching this person calmly and asking them if you can use the pictures, or if they'd explain what the issues are with yours and help you improve.

From this post, you sound pretty buttmad.

Yea cause he presented it to the school and embarrassed me in front of my colleges.
