Thorntooth Witch + Nameless Inversion is sickening. Either to pump your creatures or devestate your opponent. I had a +12 -12 quite a few times which is always fun to do because even if you don't want a stacked 4 nameless inversion you can spread the love around to target multiple creatures.
There were alot of cards in the Lorwyn/Shadowmoor Block that really helped to amp the power of the mono red burn decks. Do you think that the decktype will lose popularity with the loss of Demigod of Revenge, Taurean Mauler, Boggart Ram-Gang and Figure of Destiny? ((Just to name a few.))
Is there any possible way to make Gwafa Hazid a dangerous card in Standard Constructed? I've been thinking of ways and all I could come up with was Mindlock Orb and Maralen
I really never thought of that! Wow that actually seems like a good idea. I'd probably take out a command and 2 manamorphose for it perhaps to add 3 in?
I'd drop it to 3 charms, possibly put in ajani vengeant rather than goldmane for more destruction. I like the idea of how you use shard volley to put more land in your graveyard. I would recommend getting out of using the AZ lands and probably try Rupture Spires or perhaps Jungle Shrine or another type of Shard Land. I'm just curious though as most of your cards have pretty good balance between power and toughness if Doran is really necessary? Cards like Wolly Thoctar or perhaps another exalted creature seem to me like they would better fit this category or maybe one of the lieges from the Shadowmoor/Eventide sets to buff your creatures even more.
I'd probably put in Fulminator Mage as a sideboard card really for this deck, poison the well would be a good card to put in but I already have alot of medium to high cost things. I'm kinda worried about the mana base personally, I don't like running a deck with a ton of tapped lands.
This is a deck I've been experimenting with for a couple of months, it's pretty interesting due to its alternate win conditions, I made the sideboard after Conflux came out and changed the land a bit so it's sparsely updated for it.
The main combo in the deck is getting the realm razer on the field at the same time as having polluted bonds. If the realm razer is left alive to attack the opponent they will have a reduced ability of playing spells but if the realm razer leaves play they have a chance of losing alot of life.
Kitchen Finks for an aggro/stall card
nantuko husk as a sac outlet for the Razer and any saproling tokens
Realm Razer can be dangerous whether alive and fighting or dead to activate the combo
Sprouting Thrinax works the same way as kitchen finks for buying some time
The spells in the deck with the exception of torrent of souls are basically there for deck thinning and to find what I need at the time or for the combo. The same can be said for the planeswalker in the deck as well.
The sideboard with dark temper is good for a kill card as I have a few black permanents on the field
Megnaloth I find is a very valueable asset on the field and due to the interest of keeping the mana curve lower I didn't main deck this card.
This deck suffers from a severe lack of card draw. In it's original state I didn't have the torrent of souls or the nantuko husk in the deck but I did have 3 copies of the planeswalker Jace Beleran and Mulldrifter but rather than play 5 colors I opted for 4. Spiteful Visions solves this issue.
Grave Pact acts as a deterrant for attacks from my opponent as Sprouting Thrinax and Kitchen Finks are more than happy to die to make my opponent lose creatures as well it can be a fun offensive tool to use with the Nantuko Husks in the deck.
Finally Vexing Shusher acts as my anti-counter solution.
Any suggestions on how I can improve upon this design would be greatly appreciated and strongly considered.
This is my attempt at a Deathcloud variant for casual multiplayer. The lich's mirror is to ensure that if the damage dealt to the opponents is not fatal that you yourself are still in the game and have card advantage that your opponent would not have. ((Unless their deck is non-creature artifact and enchantment based.)) Any suggestions on improving it would be great.
This is a deck I thought of when I was looking for underrated Conflux cards and how to abuse them. The deck was tested a bit and did pretty well, now I'm looking for a way to make it even better. The idea is to keep a nice buffer of creatures between your life total and the opponents forces while making them discard the cards that they are drawing and biting them with the Spiteful Visions and Kederekt Parasite when they draw.
This is the first time I've posted a deck on here so I hope it loads alright.
Except spring cleaning is not bloody damn consistent!
Look. Every four or five days, someone posts a thread about abusing the card. It didn't work then there was a t4 boardwipe that allowed you to keep threats on the board. It double won't work now.
And thats only if you go the combo route. Look at it like this. A deck based around aura's requires a good way to get them(tallowisp), and really good auras(spirit loop, Armadillo Cloak) to put on guys. In the current standard, Troll Ascetic is the only guy who you can reliably not get 2>1d by enchanting(cryptic to bounce or spot removal). And with 2 instant speed sweepers in/soon to be in the current standard, you can't even do that till t5, 4 is you ramp or something. Plus, the only good aura is Shield of the Oversoul, and that isn't that effective on him.
So, you're kinda barking up the wrong tree here. Everyone needs to let it die. Once and for all.

Guess what, mostly everything in T2 gets rolled by faeries
The fact that you just said it's suicide competitvely makes me want to make it better even more so it can stand up there in the competitve crowd.
