"Always look for what's not in a playable pre-constructed deck to see where gains are to be made, after all." This is so true. Maybe just maybe it will get people to play standard casually in FNMs. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
Hazoret should be mainboarded. Its pretty ridiculous. It can take the place of acid moss in your deck currently.
Focus on buying Sprawl > Stomping > Trinisphere > BM/Chandra. Also get more trackers to replace beast within.
At best, it removes utopia sprawl / BM from our graveyard making goyf smaller by 1. At its worst, its 2 mana draw a card. I like it as a SB option.
Ponza time to shine in modern. BBE check. Blood Moon check. Chandra, TOD check. Only Burn is a cheaper deck now that can consistently put up results
I prefer Big Head Thalia too. I got to admit, the watermark of the set symbol is pretty
Modern will be slightly cheaper now if your decks need some of the soon to be rotated standard cards that are featured in there. Anyone got ideas about its potential print runs? I highly doubt Chandra, ToD will maintain her price if the challenger decks are printed as much as the old duel decks/pre cons
Any decks that had won a GP/PT in the past 6 months get a sticky for Established. Any new/rough decks that top 8 (or top 32) in a GP/PT or wins a RPTQ stickied for Developing.
This can be merged with the state of modern thread to at least have a "fresh" topic to discuss.
Your local meta =/= GP meta. The odds of meeting an eldra titan in a GP is pretty low.
I'm not a fan of bridges, Bontu Last reckoning and Winds of Rebuke. Titi may replace bridge whole cryptic can replace the other two if you have them. I highly recommend testing cryptic. To turn on your bridges, you may want to run more CBs for the escalation to rid your hand. DO this if you expect to meet a lot of 5c humans and mardu pyro.
You can go up a Nihil spellbomb in your SB. More graveyard hate is always good and it cantrips since you may not have a leyline in your starting hand.
I had hoped for more but...
