Feb 22, 2012Post Affinity posted a message on Hygiene ShmygieneSomething funny about that, I've played with the same protectors for years and I never had those marks, that is, until I moved and started to play in Santiago, once there, I had those small marks everywhere!Posted in: JollyTheOctopuss Blog
I believe those marks are pollution on the air, and most importantly, in the tables that get stuck to your sleeves. Most probably they appear doe to more younger players not using playmats wich makes their sleeves get dirtier much easier. And well, playmats are kinda costly, so yeah, I'd kind of justify that act. But that's just my opinion, sorry for invading your blog. -
Feb 20, 2012Post Affinity posted a message on My first standard birthing pod deck!Well, it certainly it's all around the place, but I guess you already knew that. First thing I see here is that it needs the other titans, they are just that good. It's kinda annoying how they dominate the format, but that's not what should be discussed here. I believe Pod is more about utility creatures than hard to remove ones, so I'd keep slime before Vorapede, besides, at that cost there won't be as much stuff to ramp to as to make vorapede that more threatening. Solemn Simulacrum is also a card that almost always goes in these decks since the ramp and card draw are excellent when you go with pod.Posted in: dooglestyle Blog
Something fun about the masticore is how it can use up all the creatures that end up dead due to the birthing pod itself, that's good thinking.
I tend to like U more than B in pod decks, somehow the fact that the clone effects are so abundant in standard make that color stand out more, I mean, just cloning a titan with phantasmal image is devastating...
Well, that's my opinion, I hope it served for something. -

Feb 13, 2012Post Affinity posted a message on El clan que nunca fue - The clan that never was.I swear to god it's the first time I read of this idea, and I certainly support it. I'd gladly change to this clan. (My current clan is pretty dead.) Having no spanish speaking moderator may lead to some problems with the site staff though.Posted in: The Blog of Gaea's Regent
However, count me in with the idea. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
4 kite shield
4 paradise mantle
4 bone saw
4 spidersilk net
4 mox opal
4 puresteel paladin
4 simian spirit guide
4 gitaxian probe
4 retract
2 street wraith
4 grapeshot
4 marsh flats
4 aride mesa
3 Hallowed Fountain
3 Sacred Foundry
Idea is simple, cast puresteel paladin, throw a ridiculous number of equipment for 0, bounce them if necessary, then grapeshot for lethal... outside the mana base it seems cheap and post rules change should be very consistent due to being able to use all the moxen, but still, it's a storm deck, so not quite most reliable thing.
Modern Masters does seem kinda underwhelming, but whatever, it's the crazy Timespiral-esque limited that attracts me to the set, more than the money cards, so it's all good to me still.
This has been a really weird day, I dunno if it's just me but it feels like it were opposite day and no one told me or something...
Well, Onslaught also had the mistform creatures, wich were pseudo changelings, so they seem necessary in a tribal set-
On the other hand, since tribal isn't the whole theme of this set, maybe it can make do with few of them.
Odd how they are pushing giants in limited, and saltfield recluse is a bad way to push rebels, I hope there's more changelings in this set, otherwise all these weird tribal subthemes will be practically unplayable...
If anything they are more of the loud and annoying kind, more of the kind that likes to tell lame jokes repeatedly and be generally obnoxious.
