A New and Exciting Beginning

The End of an Era

Here is the brew I'm planning on starting with.

The new inclusions from SOM are the sunblast angels (which combo with Gideon Jura nicely) and the trinket mage package in the sb to toolbox for the effigies for vengevine hate.

This version is set up intending to dominate agro decks from the main with early blockers then wrath effects at 4 and 6 drops and the must answer baneslayer at 5.

Board is set to work against RDW (firewalkers), vengevine variants (trinket package), and other control minded decks (ascensions/counters).

Mana requirements have intensified a bit with this version but it also has more draw effects then previous versions I've played so I moved in some Sejiri Refuges and dropped the total land count down to 26 (yes I was running 27 previously).

I'd like to find a place for a venser mostly for alpha striking but also to dig deeper in the midgame using the walls and oracles or possibly to blink a sun titan to get an extra recursion if that is relevant. I'm thinking about taking out a baneslayer, oracle or titan for it.

Although you may define such occurrences as impossible because they defy the self-evident laws of logic, I would say that something that is illogical is not therefore impossible. Consider those who believe in the Christian God. They would say to you, “Through God, all things are possible” to which you would say to them “X Y and Z are impossible because of logic”. They respond “God created logic and can just as easily defy it”. I would stand and laugh a little inside waiting to see who went red in the face first but that is beside the point.

My thought on it is that it is ‘possible’ (and most probable) that you are right and they are wrong, it is also possible that it is the other way around.

It’s also possible that ganesh is laughing because you are both wrong and then again it’s possible that loki is getting ready to screw with both of your heads by making sure you are both right and then it’s also possible that there is a big empty void not caring one way or the other because nothing is what a big empty void tends to do.

I tend to believe that we humans are rather small, incapable minded creatures who tend to think ourselves quite bright and important. I also believe that there are layers of reality and existence that we are not even capable of comprehending. We can investigate, propose theory and declare laws all we want but in the end it is all only based on the limitations that are set by our neuron based sense of reality.
