At the beginning of your upkeep, choose target opponent. This turn, that player can't play spells or activated abilities and plays with his or her hand revealed. You can play cards from that player's hand this turn.
3/3
What a card! It's every control player's dream card (Hello Wizards deck!). I could see some build-around-me decks in the future, especially before Vivid Lands+Reflecting Pool rotates out. Well, at least we still got Exotic Orchard. It synergies really well with this card.
Well, they push 5CC even more. So much rewards from playing multicolor! And so much hate for monocolors...
Hope they create more uncommon nonbasics... CON nonbasics is pretty meh to me... But, seeing ARB like this, Unstable Frontier will see more play post-rotation.
Planeswalkers: I think no one, to much for a core set
What do you think about?
Some of your 'wish' are a bit too much, while the overpowered reprints spread to every color, I thought no way these cards would be reprinted: Dark Ritual Pyroblast Lightning Bolt - Even incinerate had a hard way into the 10th... Balance Path to Exile@common - White players already thanked Wizards a million times it's not a rare... Counterspell - 1UU (Cancel) had been a standard mana cost for hard counters for years...
While it need a lot of nerve for Wizards to reprint multicolors in a core set, I'd love to see them some time later in a core set (not 11th - Shadowmoor and Alara had done it way too much).
Sanctum Gargoyle? It fetches up your Magister Sphinx from the graveyard just if someone broke off the combo (discard maybe?). With the addition of the gargoyle, the cycle is pretty much complete... 10? That's it!
I don't see any Master Transmuter there, my friend played her, Sanctum Gargoyle, and Magister Sphinx in a draft... result?
You (almost) can't lose!
Play Master Transmuter, losing life? Transmute in a Magister Sphinx!
Edge of death? Transmute out-and-in the sphinx again.
Someone is burnin' your chick? She can transmute out herself!
The sphinx goes to the graveyard? Transmute in gargoyle to fetch up, then transmute out him to play the sphinx and the cycle goes on...
I haven't tried this combo at constructed but maybe you should add this combo alongside your Esperzoa and Sludge Strider. Ethersworn Cannonist isn't bad to slow down your opponent because I think the sludge-zoa is a pretty slow combo (about 6 damage in 1 turn). Whilst most combo decks would win in mostly 2 turns after the combo piece is completed.
Pretty much the same, Manaplasm + Soul's Majesty nets you extra 6 cards for the combo... By the way, Manaplasm + Tower Above alone nets 11 Trample damage alone (assuming Manaplasm survives 1 upkeep.)
Devoted Druid + Quillspike + Soul's Fire is a GG and banefire finishes any extra mana left.
As the title said, this deck tries to achive 20++ damage in 1/2 turn(s). With a very huge manaplasm (either with the sigil or the tower above), attack for 10++, and burn for another 10++, game!
[T1] Land, Noble Hierarch
[T2] Land, Fertile Ground @ the other land, Fertile/Druid
[T3] Land, (6 mana open) Fertile/Druid, Keeper of Progenitus/Garruk
[T4] Land, (8+ mana open) Manaplasm, Sigil/any Ramp
[T5] Land, (13+ mana open) Garruk, Untap 2, Tower Above,...
16/16++ Trample Manaplasm attacks alone, then Soul's Fire for another 16...
Pretty much like that, still need some fixings and countings.
I only got 1 copy of each Manaplasm and Sigil so it never worked out any good ^^;. Against red manaplasm is so easy to be pinged before I draw the sigil.
Well, I liked the idea how they'll grab new player's attention. I remembered my first time opening a Lorwyn booster and getting a Militia's Pride.
Since then I had decided my mind to play kithkin as my main deck, although my first rare stays in my binder now.
Imagine you went shopping with your kid/nephew/little buddy and get him his first booster. He opened a Meglonoth, no... even a Beacon Behemoth is cool enough and they'll happily asked you to make them a build-around-me deck with the coolest card they got there.
Not to mention Conflux has such a cool art...
It'd be funny that the kids would trade Noble Hierarch for your Hellkite Hatchling :D.
LOL, that's epic! I'd love to have more Eldrazi jokes!
Another pic.
It's a mudpuppy - just googled it and found another...
Indeed, it's an Ethereal Whiskergill... Good find Hamazing!
A good substitute for FoD in Naya decks once Lorwyn/Shadowmoor rotates out.
By the way, now it's mythic o_O... Certainly one of the $10s in the set...

Just here to help with the deck tag...
Yeah... card drawing is pretty much a must, especially in a semi-combo deck like this.

Manaplasm, Sigil of Distinction, and Soul's Fire, accompanied by lots of ramps and Mosstodon (for 10+10 damage at 8 mana).
I only got 1 copy of each Manaplasm and Sigil so it never worked out any good ^^;. Against red manaplasm is so easy to be pinged before I draw the sigil.
