I'm seeing at least as many pseudo un-cards in here as there were pseudo black-bordereds in Unstable...
Seeing Prakhata Club Security made me do a double-take -- I actually looked it up to see if it came from Unstable. Clearly, I didn't play a lot of Kaladesh limited.
Can someone tell me what you can use this card for?
I remember when it was first spoiled many, many years ago and no one wanted the card because it didn’t do anything.
What does it do, now?
In EDH there's a fairly nasty win with this, Darksteel Forge and Nevinryl's disk. Also, artifact heavy decks tend to be able to ramp in out quickly. Arcum Dagson and his tutoring can have this online stupid early.
Not sure if that's where all of the 25$+ value is coming from.
It also makes it easy to blow up everyone's lands (Karn, Silver Golem), or to just blow up everything else in general (Vandalblast).
Shocklands we're born on ravnica and they are not to busted for standard so chance they should show up but not holding my breath.
That's why the fetch lands weren't printed they feel they are tool powerful.
It's not a question of Power level... unless they make the mistake of putting fetch-able lands in the same Standard. They don't want fetchlands in Standard because it leads to a lot of wasted time shuffling decks. And, in one of the slowest formats of Magic (after Commander), this means a lot of games going to time and draws.
Oh, and the price is too high. They don't say it, but they don't want valuable reprints in Standard anymore: they keep them for Masters sets.
I don't call $10-15 cards that only see play in EDH, or fringe modern play "valuable". They are only low supply cards. I hope we actually get some valuable reprints in Core 2019, cards that were in small summer sets, that often cannot be reprinted in most sets because their names are not plane-agnostic (or have rare keyword), that won't break Standard and that see a lot of Modern or Eternal play; cards like Kolaghan's Command, Collective Brutality, Engineered Explosives, Blackcleave Cliffs or Noble Hierarch.
More relevant for Standard, but I know I was giving them a look for Modern -- Settle the Wreckage has basically tripled in price over the past week and is still rising. I scoffed at the lone playset for $25 shipped on eBay a week ago, thinking they were still in the $4-5 range. Ah well!
Speaking of which, there's still a few hours left to take advantage of eBay's 15% off anything deal. I already picked up a few things, and am considering some more...
Just remember it's good for a one-time use -- you can load up your cart with items from multiple sellers, but you can only use the code once.
Cards I'm looking at not in Prid3s' review (there's not many either! ;));
Llanowar Scout.
For someone on Posts, Tron, Coffers etc., this card seems useful-ish using tutors like Sylvan Scrying, Living Wish, Expedition Map etc. I think it's fair to compare this to Explore. This card lends itself to responding to an opponent, I might potentially land a Glacial Chasm at instant speed, for example. Life from the Loam says hi too.
I'm going to be grabbing some of these.
Entertaining read, as usual -- there is a lot to like about this set, and I have picked up more singles from Dominaria than probably the previous 4 or 5 sets combined. I did notice this:
Quote from RE: Mox Amber »
This card will be absolutely bonkers in White-based Stax decks that field things like Legion's Landing, Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit, Thalia, Heretic Cathar, Brimaz, King of Oreskos and Hokori, Dust Drinker. Between Mox Amber and Legion's Landing you can easily recover from the effects of mass land destruction (Armageddon and Cataclysm for example) that will utterly demolish your adversaries by comparison.
I'm not sure if you were implying that Legion's Landing "turns on" Mox Amber, but unfortunately it doesn't work that way (creatures only). Still, I agree the card is better than some people are giving it credit for.
FYI, the current promotion is 8% back on $50, or $15 back on $150. However, you can't add up small items the way that you could with other offers - you have to buy one item that costs at least $50.
That was just an eBay Bucks promotion, correct? I had that deal, too (couldn't find anything I wanted), but I didn't think those went out to everyone.
I usually just load up on fetches/duals with these kinds of deals, because why not? This time, and probably against better judgment, I went with getting some of my higher-end wants from A25. I'd probably save more than 15% if I just waited a few weeks, but oh well -- sometimes a guy just wants to play with his cards.
i believe there is a creature already in the format that does the same thing as Llanowar Scout that occasionally pops up as a 1-of in big mana decks. though after looking for it for a few minutes i couldnt find it; so maybe im delusional lol
Looks like we have a different sort of coupon today: PSPRING20 gets you 20% off of any purchase $25 or more.
I did see this earlier in the day, but thanks for making me double check -- I first assumed that this was only on select items, so I got in at the last moment.
So apologies in advance for the super dumb question, but are there 2 different Ajani statues, or does he have a moveable jaw, and I am just not seeing how it closes? If it's the latter, is there a moveable piece to the Bolas statue (I didn't see anything at first glance)?

EDIT: And assuming Training Grounds will be at #135.
I suppose that's true if you are misunderstanding the argument in the first place (again) -- he was talking about fetchlands, not shocklands.
Carry on.

I have no idea what a "Gavinland" is (sorry), but if you're referring to the new Battlebond duals, they aren't Modern legal, so...no?
Unless the Elf type or 1/3 body is relevant, just remember that you've always had access to Sakura-Tribe Scout and Budoka Gardener!

EDIT: Mine was for 3/22 and 3/23 only.
Sakura-Tribe Scout -- it even only costs G.
(Also, Budoka Gardener?)
