@Ogonomany: I just want to say that I'm not fighting to get my scored changed, but just justifying the choices I made. Stinkdrinker Daredevil reduces giants (generally cmc 5 or greater, but not as powerful as most demons) by 2, and is a common 1/3 for 2R. Dragonspeaker Shaman reduces dragons (arguably red's demon equivalent) by 2, and is an uncommon 2/2 for 1RR. I don't feel like a rare BB 1/1 is pushing it to much for a 2 reduction for demons. Maybe I should have tacked another 1 or B on to his cost for skipping your upkeep.
Just wanted to say thank you to all the judges.
Its been a good 2 years or so since I've done any contests (or any custom cards, really), and it feels good to win!
I know I need to start working on my flavor text. Most of the time I don't have enough time to get around to making flavor text that I'm really happy with. I'd rather put the time into working on a flavorful name.
@Magic Brains: No card has ever, nor probably ever will remove emblems. A card designed specifically to hose the last ability of a mythic rare card (assuming you've had time to build it up to use the ultimate) is pretty limited.

Not a bad combo. I like the mana restriction on the land. Would probably see a lot of play in blue. The creature works well in its colors and at at rarity.
The fortification is nice. Maybe a little too complex for a common. I love the creature though. I'm a sucker for creatures that build over time. I like the trigger, it gets stronger every time you stop it from dying? Yes please.
The fortification seems like it might be a little too boring. Tapping an attached permanent has only been since a few times I think, only one I can really think of... The creature is good as a common. I don't really see a tom of synergy in your cards though.

Not bad. What I don't like is how X can equal 0. So you can pay 4 to pretty much destroy your opponent's board. especially if you play with a heavy hand anyways. It might work better if both the card draw and creature killing both worked on X.
I like how it counteracts the creature. But it also essential board wipes everyone entirely if the serpent hit you this turn, not to mention other cards hitting your graveyard. At least it doesn't hit players too.
Traps are super fun. This is one trap that I don't think you would ever hard cast though. If you opponent has only one creature with counters on it, a Doom Blade is waay more efficient. The life swing makes it little more likeable.
Interesting. Kinda reminds of Hanabi Blast where you have a chance of discarding what you just bounced. No qualms, but this probably would be a fairly weak rare.
Not bad. Shuts down your opponent's attacking creatures. Exiling them removes all counters and attached permanents, but they do retrigger ETB effects even though they enter tapped. The alt cost is weird for wite blue, but noone will see it coming.
I. Love. This. My only problem is its colors. White kinda makes sense. Green a little less. I think this would be pretty perfect at GWB, but I understand you could only use two colors
