Having said that, it looks like a hoot in casual.

Considering that, it's too expensive how it is. If I have 7 mana, I want something more interesting than "Target player loses 16 life" which assumes you're playing with Draco. Really, it's big, fat, expensive and uninteresting Black burn.
How about:

As an additional cost to play ~, remove a creature card in your graveyard from the the game.
Each opponent loses life equal to the removed card's converted mana cost. "My favourite part is when the corpse explodes!" - Syll, Apprentice Necromancer
That way, casual players love it for it's multiplayer impact, is fitting with black's ethos in that it abuses dead things and at the end of it all it ends up being even more delicious than before.
