I still have some work to do on it, but that mostly depends on what cards I'm able to find at local shops. I kept Chandra in there just for fun and because I have the space.
I've had some trouble finding myself 4 Mogg Fanatics, I was wondering if using 4 Facevaulter would be a decent substitute? I know it doesn't have the burn value, but it does have the sac value.
What do you guys/gals think? Any other suggestions?
Tarpitcher is basically a poor man's siege-gang. You have to tap to use its ability, so you can only do it once a turn and unless you give it haste you have to wait a turn to do it. On top of all that, it doesn't make any other goblins when it comes out like the siege-gang does. With siege-gang out you can alpha strike, then sac a bunch of goblins to finish the game.
Hove you tried Earwig Squad in the deck? It's probably going to be a 5/3 for 3, with an extra ability too! It works well with Pie Sneak since he will attack through a lot of creatures as well.
Yes, I use it currently, but wasn't sure I wanted to include it in the deck.
I guess I'll have to play around with a little. Let me know if there are any obvious changes that need to be made. I'll work on developing that sideboard.
Also, may I ask the benefit to Squeaking Pie Sneak? He's 2/2 with fear for 2, and does damage in -1/-1s, I get that. But aren't there better Goblins I could run?
If he is a decent one to include, that'd be great, as I have like 8 of them, lol.
Mutavault is the best card for Goblins. Pie Sneak Wins decks are amazing. Using Mad Auntie to regenerate Mutavault when you need a blocker is the best. This is the deck that came in fifth at 2008 Regionals in Indianapolis.
Thanks Floyd, but I did mention that I do not have a lot of money to spend. This is just a fun deck. So, what you put down is quite unrealistic for me to run.
its a 2/2 body that shocks something when it comes in and is hard to kill THAN comes back in and pings again. in a lot of cases it can be 3-1 or a 4-1. With mad ante it does even more damage.
How is it hard to kill? It's a 2/2 that comes back as a 1/1. I guess I'm a little confused.
Would you recommend subb'n in 4 of them for something else I have in the deck?
I guess I don't understand why you guys play Murderous Redcap. It has no sac value in this deck, it's only real advantage is deal dmg when it comes in and having Persist. May I ask why you wouldn't replace that with something else?
So, I know you guys don't like the Planeswalkers, but it's a fun deck, so I think I'll keep them in. Is there anything else you think I should change around? Remember, this isn't going to be a big money deck, so Greater Gargadon and Demigod of Revenge probably wont make it in. Though Terror may, along with Thoughtseize.
I'm a returning MTG fanatic, and need some help building a Red & Black Goblin deck. I don't have a ton of money atm, but I've opened a decent amount of packs and done a couple drafts at my local shop. So, I do have somewhat of a card base.
Anyways, here's what I've started building. Just a note: I'm in a smaller city with no FNM currently, so it doesn't have to be super-competitive, just something that works.
Shikuzesa: Thanks, I'll head over to the Competitive Standard forums after this, I'm interested to see what I can find.
ecthelionv2: I am actually considering making it a White/Green deck. Unfortunately, I'm trying to rebuild my collection. So, I have a lot of buying to do before I can make any competitive decks.
I recently decided to start playing MTG again, after an 8 year hiatus. I work at a college and am myself a student. I played MTG for a couple years before I had to drop it for financial & schedule reasons. I'm really looking forward to getting back into it.
I'm currently running a Red/Black Goblin deck, which I'm sure I'll need some help on. I'm also screwing around with a Mono Green Elf deck, but that's not too far into development.

Okay, so...
switch Tar Pitcher with Lightning Crafter then? could it instead be swapped with Boggart Ram-Gang?
what would I switch out for Frogtosser Banneret?
I'll keep out Boggart Shenanigans
any other changes?
Thanks
Yes, I use it currently, but wasn't sure I wanted to include it in the deck.
How would this look?

Should I run Boggart Shenanigans?
Should I run 3 or 4 Boggart Birth Rites?
How are my creature Choices? Should I run 4 Tar Pitchers to add to the sac value?
Thanks Guys
Or, if I took the Boggart Shenanigans out,

What do you think about including atleast two Tar Pitchers? It would add to the benefit of my Mogg Fanatic & Mogg War Marshal , the sacrificing.
Also, do you think 4 x Boggart Shenanigans would help add to the BURN factor of the deck?
Thanks,

Oh, okay. Yeah, I'm just trying to trade around to get Auntie's Hovel(s), I'd be happy with that and some Crags.

I could probably replace the 2 Beacon of Destruction 's with 2 Boggart Shenanigans. Or, is there something better you think could be subb'd in?

I realize this is only 56 cards, I need to add in 4 more. Also, I can throw in some non-basic lands (Vivid Crag & Vivid Marsh, Spinerock Knoll, etc).
I've been out 8yrs, so I'm sure this pretty rough. Let me know what you think, what can/should be moved around and/or subb'd.
Thanks
