Will comander (aka EDH) soon replace all other existing format as the best format of all?
For me, yes, yes it has. However, I cannot speak for the millions of Magic players out there. I think what it does is splits off Magic Players into their own group. Those that play EDH & Limited versus those that play Standard/Modern/Legacy/Limited. (Of course there will be a lot of overlap, not everyone will be split evenly into those groups) Then there are Cube players, and they are a breed all their own, lol. As stated previously, EDH/Commander leaves a lot of room for: "brewers, pilots, and player interaction". This is the kind of group that I fall into.
Card Pool: how huge is your card pool to play other formats?
If I have cards that do not fit in a current or future EDH deck, I am trying to sell it or trade it to find cards that do. Standard? Meh. I like to sell/trade Standard cards high to bolster my available EDH card pool.
Card Price: are the card prices affordable for you to play other formats?
Standard is expensive and you could drop $80 for a playset of cards that will be worth $4 in a couple of months. NO thanx! Why buy cards for Standard/Modern/Legacy when I can "invest" into my EDH decks.
Life: do you still value your life? are you going to be commited to other expensive formats?. I don't have time to play or spend money on other formats.
With the above being said, a lot of my friends (myself included) only play EDH/Commander and maybe some Limited (such as an occasionial Booster Draft and Prerelease events).
As an EDH player, I have no time or desire to play Standard, Modern, or Legacy anymore. I think there are a lot of us EDH/Commander players out there like that.
This is exactly how it is for me. I buy collections and then sell/trade all standard in said collection toward new Commander/EDH cards. This is even harder for me because I like to foil out my decks.
I felt this way after my wife and I ended our marriage and I consequently lost my home. There is hope and it does get better, it simply takes time. Don't sell your collection!
You don't actually have to buy it. You can just download all of the pics and TXT files for the sets. I don't even think they have updates for the program any more so it might not even be wise to buy it any more.
Always believe that rock decks will fare well. The loss of the pain lands doesn't affect them all that much. The one thing that will severely cripple my decks is the loss of Treetop Village. No more easy wins vs. control...
If that fails, I'll just break out the Tezzy's and go artifacts on these Mo'Fo's.
Although Tezzeret would be an excellent addition, I don't think he wants to spend that much. He won't get PtEs so I don't think he will shell out the big bucks for Tezzy. At least a 3/3 split in borderposts would be great. That would also lower your need for land finders.
If you're only looking at about $11 maybe you can afford to get some decent finishers like that new Akroma Sphinx or maybe even get some Merfolk Looter/Makeshift Mannequin/Inkwell Leviathan action going. That would really suck for your opponents. 7/11 with shroud and trample is really hard to beat. And the card advantage you can net from Esperzoa/Kaleidostone would crush most decks.

He can fetch it though, so I don't have a problem with it. It's quite nice, actually.
I got some pimp Japanese Tempest Gnomes. Only set me back $4 for the playset!
Anyway, where are you at? Have you decided? Have you playtested with any of the suggestions you've been given?
Now if I could only get it on MWS...
