Niche situation but I'd like clarification before I have to debate with my commander playgroup: if I control a Reflections of Littjara and I cast Blood Tyrant, assuming that they both resolve and make it to my next upkeep, they would both ping every player for 1 for a total of 4 for each Blood Tyrant on my upkeep. My question though, since the ability is the same yet from different cards, would they both get 4 +1/+1 counters or would they both get 8 +1/+1 counters?
So I need clarification on stack order and how things would work regarding a specific interaction I stumbled upon while constructing my vampire themed commander deck. So here's the interaction: Reflections of Littjara is in play, Vampire is named. I then cast Patron of the Vein, triggering Reflections of Littjara. How many +1/+1 counters do I get to put on all of my vampires assuming I'm able to destroy a creature with both Patron of the Vein?
So here's a niche situation that I'm a bit hazy on the details on. Let's say my commander is Anhelo, the Painter, and I have him and Lier, Disciple of the Drowned in play with an instant in my graveyard that I wish to cast due to the flashback from Lier, Disciple of the Drowned. Could I attempt to cast the instant from my graveyard while also sacrificing Lier, Disciple of the Drowned to the Casualty 2 that Anhelo, the Painter gives? Obviously if this would work it would only work once but would it even work that single time?
So here's the scenario. Friend A moves, to end step. Friend B has Nalfeshnee on the field, and flashes in a Hollowhenge Overlord from exile in response to the end step phase change. Copy trigger from Nalfeshnee resolves, original cast of Hollowhenge Overlord resolves, leaving two good bois on the battlefield. Friend B's turn is next. Does he still have both Hollowhenge Overlords or is one still sacrificed prior to his turn?
So I have an Anhelo, the Painter spellslinger deck. Here's my question for if this is a legal play:
Turn start, drop a land, have 7 mana available.
Tap 5 for Dark Petition, sacrificing a creature for casualty to copy it as an additional cost, so now there are two Dark Petition on the stack.
Let one Dark Petition resolve, tutoring a card and gaining 3 floating black mana due to spell mastery.
Can I then use my two remaining lands to cast Reverberate, targeting the original Dark Petition that hasn't resolved? Or do I have to let it resolve due to passing priority after the initial cast and copy?
So here's my question: Ziatora's Envoy has Blitz printed on the card, but Henzie "Toolbox" Torre gives all creatures with cmc 4 or greater Blitz equivalent to their cmc. Would Ziatora's Envoy essentially have two instances of Blitz (the printed for 5 and the ability through Henzie "Toolbox" Torre for 4) and I can just pick one or would Henzie "Toolbox" Torre not work at all except for the Blitz cost reduction?
That's what I was afraid of. The general consensus that my pod came to at locals last night when it happened (hence the specificity of the situation) was a very similar explanation but getting a second opinion never hurt. Thank you for the clarification!
So here's my situation: I flash in Guardian of Faith to protect my board from a wipe, while still having Emiel the Blessed + a few other blinkable targets (such as a Thragtusk) and 9 open mana. When my board phases back in at the start of my next turn before I untap, am I able to blink the Thragtusk with my open mana before my untap step would occur, or am I just SOL for not blinking it for the triggers before phasing out?
