It's been a while since my last post. I'm not making nearly as many mats since my second daughter was born. Very busy being a Dad.
Here is my latest mat. This one is available. I have been thinking about this a long time. Something that represented the Legacy Miracles deck well. Featuring JMS, Counterbalance, Terminus, Divining Top, Brainstorm and Entreat the Angels. Based on the artworks by Jason Chan, John Zeleznik, James Paick, DiTerlizzi and Todd Lockwood.
Liliana Veil and Her Jewelry. A commissioned piece. Based on artwork by Dan Frazier (Moxen & Swamp on the right side), Rebecca Guay (Bitterblossom), Steve Argyle (Liliana of the Veil), Volkan Baga (The Chain Veil), with Garruk looming in the background.
Would sealing the mat with a fixitive help keep it from getting discolored? I will probably not keep this one if someone is interested in it. But I'd like it to last for whomever ends up with it.
fixative helps but you'll only notice it not working anymore when it starts to stain or get dirty.
Looks great! I will say that from experience that I would recommend a color to fill in the white spaces. They may look great now but they will be the first (and probably only) areas that will get dirty and discolored and be noticeable. Even a 20% cool or warm grey will keep these ares from getting dingy. Or course it all depends on use and care.
Thanks! Always nice to hear.
