If I were to use Pact of Negation and not have enough mana to pay the upkeep, is it possible to use an infinite mana combo such as Grand Architect and Pili-Pala to pay the upkeep, is this possible? I have read that activated abilities have the speed of instants and instants can be used before your upkeep. If this isn't possible, please explain why too.
