I appreciate all the answers, does anyone know if there's someone in magic's storyline and lore department that I could message and get an answer out of?
I think it could be an interesting plot thread to explore when we eventually return to lorwyn
Was looking back into magic's history specifically the lore and I was reading up on the legends of lorwyn. I came across the elf Maralen of the mornsong and read a bit about her. Apparently she was a normal elf and was captured in the very beginning of the story by the villain of the arc Oona, queen of the fae.
The next time you see Maralen she's quite a bit different than the first time you see her. Eventually it's revealed that she's a copy of oona, but it never reveals what happened to the original Maralen. Was she killed and copied? Or did oona alter the original? Or was Maralen always a copy of oona from the start?
