Anyway, really excited about this character. It's super cool to have a werewolf walker (and I bet ShadowFenrir is going to be super happy). I'm hoping she'll be Naya as that's what her description points towards: RG for lycanthropy and W for being so deep into the clergy if the church and using Avacynian magic. This is a cool direction for a character. Also, her name just feels cool to say.
My only fear is that this is the only time we see this character ever or for decades. It is very, very likely that she will be a transforming planeswalker and that isn't something they can do in just any set. So she's a lot more limited than most planeswalkers.
Not necessarily; they mechanically represented Sarkhan's otherkin dragon complex as an animate ability; they could easily give her a 0 or + that turns her into a werewolf creature until end of turn that wouldn't require a flip.
In general, I'm digging Wolfmom. Seems like a cool character.
Absolutely doubt it.
If there is something going on for that demon, going with MaRo's "breaking Poison's record as the returning mechanic with the longest absence", and "advocating for the mechanic when it was created and development didn't like it"...
It's Threshold.
Poison was AWOL from 1997 to 2010, which means that the absolute newest this mechanic can be is from Onslaught block. Madness, Provoke, and Amplify are all contenders. Most other things have either reappeared already, have been updated, or are stuff like Rhystic that's never ever coming back.
...Or MaRo could just be considering this new ability word a spiritual successor to Threshold the way Devotion was to Chroma.
For the most part I really like this set (it blows BfZ out of the water) but damn, some of the flavor text is bad. Like, how did Creative let something like Havoc Sower pass?
Didn't we JUST get "+1/+1 counters of Tarkir"?
Support brings it again, though I guess I might be reacting worse to seeing that +1/+1 cohort active, which won't necessarily mean the rest keep it going
Every set will be Multicolor Tribal Counters and Tokens until the end of eternity. They give us what we pay for.
I can't wait for the Commander games where the Nekusar player has this out and casts a wheel, then three people each have to resolve this trigger seven times.

Leoric is from Diablo, hombre.

If you've been keeping up with Uncharted Realms, we've known Kalitas went to the Eldrazi for a while. Drana mentions it during her preview story.
^Underrated post.
RG is a weird way to spell "free".
I love that Ancient Craving gets a foil stamp and Ambition's Cost doesn't because the former is "rare".
Oh, wait, yes I can. That sounds miserable.
...Great.
