An absolute hoser in late game when that land pocket you hit needs to be a big creature. I just with it had cost six to activate for six counters or was a 1/4 for the same price.. or have it cost 1GG and have it as a 3/3, so it can at least block and smack also. But I guess in play testing this was the best balance somehow?

Somehow, when cards get downshifted they feel, I dunno... less special. It's like the wind get's taken out of the sails.

The Hoverstone Pilgrim feels like it's over hosted by by just 1 colorless for constructed playable. It could've had just one toughness less and it would've been just fine. I suppose it's an acceptable artifact for Commander though. It is repeatable deck recycling, that can also shuffle into thejbrary the troublesome graveyard cards I give it a "B" (if I was using the classic "S, A, B, C, D, F" chart.

You mean 1/3? Still not bad, but a 1/4 would outshine a 1/3 by a long shot.

I really like this, as it gives blue decks a way to (somewhat) accelerate into their land drops more often. This is a really strong card for sealed. For just 1 colorless mana, you either get the land or get the counter, then filter the top card into the graveyard, which in this set can matter quite a bit. A really strong contender for a first pick after the rare has been snatched in a draft.

This just got me thinking... there are now a lot of manlands. When it comes to a manland Commander build, there are a lot of options. So let's get brewin'- time to break away from the typical builds. For once I'd like to see a 5-color manland deck across from me (I'm usually the one playing the off-kilter deck.

I really hope there are more cave subtype lands in the future. With so much "cave" interaction cards, it would a fun build around for a Commander deck, but would need enough support to make it a halfway playable deck. I really despise it when on a little bit of flavor is added to a set that is hard to replicate in future projects.

I like it, but feels almost counterintuitive to a red burn deck. Trying to picture what theme(s) in red this would fit... I can see maybe a creature heavy deck, one that doesn't rely on spells as much as combat. Possibly an anti-spells bui)d, a deck that punishes noncreature spell casting. Talking Commander, of course.

I am guessing because this set is very, VERY much conquistador & Maya/Inca influenced.

Of course I am going to sound like some spoiled American, but fact is, if I go to the source and cannot enjoy the article because I cannot comprehend, then it's narrow marketing. Why not have a team overdub in English? While they're at it, French, Italian & other languages.

Better solution: YouTube is already run by Daddy Google, why doesn't Google Translate have an overdub option? If more of YouTube could be shared worldwide that many more markets are opened and the reach of IPs can go even further. This is solution based response, not a complaint.

If you us Chrome, Daddy Google will offer to translate any page in a foreign language for you.

    Also, these are Italian.

I probably should have been more explicit (even though I was as clear as a Windexed window) I was referring to YouTube. Daddy Google won't translate the video.

But you didn't have to be snarky. I was just saying how tech is improving. I could've sidetracked the card post (which unfortunately is what's happening because I feed I need to point out a second time my original point) but I didn't. But since I am thinking about it, AI wouldn't have too much trouble taking videos from content creators who speak one language and verbally translating it to another language, using their voice. I would like to really get the full experience, the excitement the influencers are relaying when sharing a new card. When all I get are screenshots and chunky Google translations, some of the Magic is gone.

By the way, I don't speak a secondary language, so as that is obvious, the chance to tell the difference is probably slim. So let's try to be productive here.
