Am I the only one who thought that Generation III was the worst in terms of Pokemon design?
Probably not. Looking back, there weren't many Pokemon that stood out to me as super cool. Gen 2 was kind of the same way but there were a few I thought were really cool. So now that I think about it, Gen 3 is probably the worst. I did think Gen 4 had some cool stuff.

Bummer that it happened, but at least we seem to be back in action now. Thanks Boubouille.

I know Foals' album comes out sometime in March. I think Kid Cudi releases something this month, I'm not sure. That's all that's on my radar right now. I'm sure we'll hear more as the year progresses.

Oh my god, this is gold. Absolutely hilarious. And the part about reducing the deficit was just the cherry on top. Rofl

I wouldn't be surprised either. The Clippers are really, really good this year. They're playing great offense and defense, they know how to run the floor, they have size, they have an extremely deep bench. But don't sleep on the Thunder or Spurs. For some reason I think the Thunder are falling into that category the Spurs are in -- boring because they're going to make it all the way anyway. But don't sleep on them, because I know both of them can beat the Clippers in 7 games.

Well, all LeBron has besides himself and his mindblowing versatility is an aging D-Wade who is probably running on human growth hormone, and a soft Chris Bosh who isn't cutting it anymore. There's more to the game than a bulldozing versatile superstar and a bench of guys who are supposed to do nothing but shoot threes, and this Heat team isn't built that way.

I'm also enjoying watching the Knicks fall apart. I had a feeling they were flukes and it honestly seems like their wheels are falling off too. And the Bulls are playing extremely well, they slaughtered the Heat and Knicks and totally exploited all their weaknesses. Keep an eye on them, because unless the Celtics lose this newfound energy and dominating defense, I think the Bulls are the favorites in the East. They just know how to exploit all the problems other teams have -- rebounding (which will kill the Heat and Celtics) and offensive efficiency (like with the Knicks -- the Bulls and the Celtics made Carmelo and JR look like amateurs).

People are trying to say it's just the regular season, but that is no excuse for Miami's god-awful rebounding and horrendous bench production. Not to mention a bad road record. I don't think we'll see Miami in the Finals if Rose comes back strong and the Celtics keep this up. Hell, even the Pacers are playing well, and if Hibbert wakes up and Granger comes back pretty strong they could even be in there too.

There's really no reason for this type of thing to be a thread in WCT. Locked, and see ya when you get back.

But the bottom line is still that Bonds and Clemens cheated, because they reached a level of playing that wouldn't have been fully achievable without their PEDs throughout basically their entire careers. PEDs are a much worse problem than those other things you mentioned, at least in my opinion and that of the Voters. They genetically modified their bodies to achieve statistics that otherwise would have been unattainable. They did it to put themselves at the level (or beyond that) of past Hall of Famers, and lied about it. That's just not cool to commend Bonds and Clemens for cheating in that way. They wouldn't be the greatest hitter and pitcher ever if it wasn't for their PED usage. How can you commend them for that?

Hopefully they revamp it, apparently there were several guys who voted for no one and in general the voters are out of touch old school writers who have really strange and varying standards considering who's already in the hall. A bunch of them are taking the moral high ground, ignoring that steroids were not illegal or even banned by baseball when most of these guys were doing them, as well as not voting for guys when even a rumor of them using PEDs springs up, and of course ignoring the fact that the Hall of Fame is full of cheaters and PED users already. And I agree with Biggio, he has no connection to PEDs at all, but since these writers are so far up their own asses they cannot elect a surefire guy who has no controversy around him.
I think it's dumb how rumors about PEDs affect their voting. Obviously Sosa and Clemens and Bonds juiced whether they want to lie about it or not, but I don't think Bagwell did. But rumors of him doing it will probably kill his chances.

Do you want Sosa, Clemens, and Bonds in the Hall of Fame? I was at the Hall of Fame in July and I really don't remember there being any cheaters in the Hall.

Well, that explains it. I grew up on Zelda and Mario, and they tend to be games I love. I will play any mario game offered until the day I die.
I don't mind them, but when I bought my Wii I was really looking forward to whatever they put out from those series, but the only one I liked from either of them combined was the first Super Mario Galaxy. They just didn't do it for me even though I wanted to like them.

What kinds of games are you into?
I'll play just about everything, honestly, besides strategy stuff. Anything from Uncharted to sports games to Midnight Club to LittleBigPlanet. So I can't really explain why I didn't like the Nintendo games.

I also won't deny that the 3DS's line-up is pretty weak right now outside of Nintendo 1st Party and E-shop offerings, but that's largely because it has had to coexist with it's predecessor for the last year and a half. PS3 didn't have enough to make me want to buy it for three or four years, so I get where you are coming from.
I didn't get my PS3 until late 2009, when they finally had developed a decent backlog for me to play through. Before that it seemed stupid.

@LuckNorris: I won't lie, the Generation V Pokemon (Black & White) come very close to what was in Generation I. I've played Pokemon since Red came out, and they're the closest in quality to Generation I. They're actually really cool.

There could actually be an argument made for B&W being better than the original games, but they'd never come out on top because of the nostalgia of Gen I. They're really good, much better than Diamond and Pearl. You missed out.

I can't believe no one got elected. I really hate the HOF voting process -- it's ridiculous. I thought for sure Biggio would have gotten in today, if no one else. It is so ridiculously hard to get into the Baseball HOF compared to other sports. Ugh.

I'm actually not digging Chespin's design. It seems like he's probably the most popular based on what I'm seeing around the internet, but his color scheme is so awful. The orange tail really puts it at a whole new level of graphic design faux pas. He's still kind of cute but the coloring is not attractive and way too unfocused.

A fighting type starter! We were never going to see it coming.

Although if it ends up as you say, it does make it a nice reverse cycle where psychic > fighting > dark. The fact that it doesn't work the other way around is mitigated by the other type these guys have. Cool.
Sadly this will never happen. Fire > Grass > Water is just too classic at this point.

    EDIT: Ta-da.

Please, please, PLEASE Game Freak, make the Fire Starter something OTHER than a Fire/Fighting type. It's getting old.
I'm thinking Fire/Psychic for this one but that is entirely baseless speculation.

I love the 3DS because of the e-shop - All my favorite classic gameboy and gameboy color games are out on it. Unlike the Wii U and Wii (so far), the 3DS has had an awesome digital line-up.

As far as games, the main Nintendo games have been worthwhile for me so far. And it's only $150. BUT, from the sounds of it your options may be limited. $150 for me is a pricey, but do-able irregular expense.

What kind of games are you looking for on the 3DS?
I don't even know. I don't like Nintendo's 1st party stuff like Zelda and Mario, and truthfully that is pretty much all there is on the 3DS that is highly acclaimed.

I don't know. I'll think about it. The frog's German name IS Froxy after all, and that was my username here for a while, so that might make me obligated to drop the $$$ on it.
