If this game will allow us to make our own custom decks - yes please.
I have a feeling this will never happen. As much as I would like to be able to make custom decks in DotP it would destroy magic online.
I don't know what kind of revenue Wizards makes off of Magic Online but I imagine it would be decreased.
Personally I prefer playing against the computer, perhaps they could make customizable offline decks. What I really want is a new version of the original DotP game with new cards. Clearly it can be done, but I don't think they're going to risk Magic Online to do so.
I plan on playing a version of this fairly soon. My main concern at the moment are the Phyrexian Crusaders. I was thinking of mainboarding or sideboarding Day of Judgement. Makes a nice little combo when all the Knights are indestructible.
We mostly play multiplayer around here, so I've kept in the Emeria, The Sky Ruin and I've added Sun Titan. Mostly to get back the
It sounds like as soon as someone pulls out a prot white creature, the race is on.
Having owned a few of the Power 9 at one time, and quite a few older cards, I really don't have a problem with Wizards doing away with or modifying the reserve list.
I believe it would be similar to sports cards being reprinted. Just because you have a 2010 reprint Babe Ruth rookie card doesn't mean its the same as having the real deal. They will always be worth significantly more than their reprinted counterparts.
Nothing stops people from printing their own Magic cards these days, putting them in a sleeve playing with them. People do it all the time for casual play I imagine.
Let a new generation have fun with the cards of old.
I play a Nissa's Chosen onto the battlefield. I then go to tap Oran-Rief, the Vastwood attempting to put a +1/+1 counter on all of my creatures that came into play this turn.
My opponent then casts lightning bolt targeting Nissa's Chosen. I take it that my elf takes lethal damage and then goes onto the bottom of my library?
Apologies for such an elementary questions. I just want a definitive answer and want to understand why it happens the way it does.
Can Sakashima the Impostor copy Tsabo Tavoc (which has Protection from Legendary creatures) since Tsabo is never actually targeted? Or is the act of "choosing" considered targeting?
I used to use the Pro Tour 96 decks a lot, just for fun. I would always have a great time with these. My favorite was Shawn Hammer Regnier's W/U millstone deck. I am attempting to make a similar deck using Standard legal cards. Here is the original and my recreation.
It seems to work pretty well, I deviated from the original and added two Serra Angels to have some kind of blocking power. Used Boreal Shelf instead of the pain lands. Added Jace for his -20 card ability, and traumatize for pretty much the same reason. Any comments and or additions would be helpful.
Sounds good, thank you for your input. I will definitely give it a shot. Though I was thinking of putting in Warren Pilferers instead of Weed-Pruner Poplar. They're both 3/3 and it would probably come out a little faster with the Bannerets. The -1/-1 is nice but by the time I have five lands out to cast it, it's usefulness is a tad less? Maybe? I'll try both.
I want to run this - 1 x acidic slime, - 2 x Daybreak Ranger +3 Primordial Hydra. How useful are the Rangers?
I'm going to second this. They're just not very funny to me. I suppose if it's you're thing more power to you.
I think my version is more accurate. SCG has my permission to make these sleeves.
This isn't such a bad compromise. Having 100 card decks kinds sucks.

Thanks in advance folks.
My friends hate me.
I don't play those two cards anymore. It was funny the first time, after that it saps the fun out of the game.
