I took for granted that the last ability of Bloodvial was until the end of turn, but if they will make him stronger he will be even better than I thought
Why every spoiled Vampire card costs one mana more to be good (except the bloodvial)? I think that a lot of cards should have been good with one mana less, like Sorin for example. The main reason is the comparison with the already printed Vampires, if they make worst cards instead of alternatives it's useless
Is Slaughter Specialist worth the slots? That's the main problem.
Falkenrath Forebear is not that bad, but blood tokens aren't good for now and 3 cmc is a lot.
Edit: they spoiled Bloodvial Purveyor and in my opinion it's good, but the fact that he pumps only for the opponent blood and that Bloodcaster flips with your blood is a bit anti sinergy
I don't like the new set for now, Sorin is the only good card, but one mana too much and there are better things at 4. Olivia is 6 mana and even with Sorin maybe you can't reborn nothing on turn 3. Bloodcaster is x/1 and too hard to flip. I like the 3 cmc -2/-2 to every creature, but it's meta dependent and red. Pit Fighter is mana intensive and also mono red, so with Nocturnus is not that good. Dominant is also red and not always good.
Yesterday I tried Gatekeeper (2 of) and it's good in some situations, in this meta there are not that many creatures is decks (with exceptions), so a lot of times you hit something good. Maybe it's better if you play a lot of removals to destroy the smallest creatures. Vs control it's a 2/2 vanilla, but if oppo plays shark typhoon or something like that it's ok.
I also tried only 4 fetchlands (20 lands), sometimes I draw a lot of lands when the game is long, but if I start with 2 lands (usually I mull the 1 land hand without vial) I will draw sooner the 3rd land that I need. 21 lands are also ok, you have more possibility to have 3 lands on turn 3, but this will cut a relevant card
In Innistrad the power level is good, so I think that there will be something good in the next set.
My wishlist:
1) A vampire or an enchantment that generates tokens with low cost like Bitterblossom
2) 3 Mana creature that acts like a removal
3) Big bomb 3/4 mana that will make a huge impact on board
4) Maybe a better lord
5) Something good with Flying
6) A source of cards advantage
Is Silvermote good or too slow? The main bad thing is 3 mana
Captain is good, but maybe I prefer other cards for now, the space is limited.
The problem with vial is that you can't have a lot of removals because this way it doesn't work the best, so we need new Vampires that act like removals, like Skycleave Apparition in Spirits.
With Thoughtseize you can remove cards impossible to kill and sometimes if you start and you want to punish a mulligan you can win easy
Is not bad, but the free human for the opponent is not that good.
Florian is also cool, but I don't know if he will work properly.
I tried Aether Vial and here's what I found:
1) there are too many removals and a creature based deck is now too weak, I think that this is the same problem for Humans
2) after "legacy" horizons 2 the deck is too slow and DRC, Murktide ecc. are way better then our creatures, also unholy heat with one mana can even kill Nocturnus with no costs
3) Thoughtseize and removals like Victim of night, infernal grasp and feed the swarm are needed to remove big or small unfair creatures
4) creatures that can't generate advantage when etb or at instant speed are useless basically 80% of the times
5) captain is good, but not in this meta
6) zealot is needed, we need a lot of cards
I tried captain and it's very good.
Bolt is not needed, for Nocturnus is not good and not extremely necessary.
Maybe with Socialite I need blackcleave (so expensive).
Terminate is also a worth slot in the sideboard.
I hope for another good lord in Innistrad, also a drop 3 or 4 that will do something big, maybe a card like Svyelun in merfolk. Scavenger is good, but is very weak to bolt and a lot of times he trades himself with 3 force like DRC
4 Viscera
4 Ebon
2 Dusk Legion
3 Gifted
4 Cordial
4 Bloodghast
2 Gatekeeper of Malakir
2 Scavenger
3 Nocturnus
3 Sorin Imperious
4 Thoughtseize
4 Push
7 Fetch
7 Swamp
2 Locthwain
2 Silent Clearing
2 Cavern of Souls
1 Urborg
Sb:
3 Damping Sphere
3 Ratchet Bomb
2 Pithing
2 Victim of Night
2 Torpor Orb
2 Surgical

Nocturnus, have you a new list vs this meta?

Is Indulgent good? I never liked him, but it's a good card, the problem is that I never had the mana
