Tarmogoyf, followed by Dark Confidant. Honestly, what other creature defines formats so much and instantly obsoleted every other 2 drop creature (meant to attack) ever printed.

Honestly, I prefer Overlord to the Queen, but that should be be obvious by my banner below. I wonder if the decks will be all 1-ofs? Does anyone know?

Before you answer, the question might not be as clear as you might think.

Just about everybody uses deck boxes to carry their decks (although I have seen some pretty interesting alternatives, including those miniature boxes of cereal!), and just about everybody uses a backpack/suitcase/etc. to carry their whole/most of their collection.

But what I want to know is what you use or would use to carry, say, a small group of deck boxes. Surely your deck boxes aren't just loose in your backpack, eh? So what do you use?

I was in Staples the other day when I found this gem (attached), it perfectly fits three deck boxes, or two deck boxes + a tournament pack and room for several d20s. Has a lock and is practically indestructible. I will not link to any places where you can buy them out of fear that this thread will be locked for advertising. (I'm sure that you could pick 'em up at your local Staples or Wal-Mart)

I have the exact same box (two actually) and I also bought them at staples. Coincidence?

It feels more blue than white, actually. Blue is the color that gives other cards suspend: Ertai's meddling, Delay, Jhoira of the Ghitu. Although the ability to serve as removal for any type of permanent feels white as well. Maybe two colors?

Overall though, I don't really like it, because of the way it removes itself too. Anything that allows recurring removal like this is dangerous territory.

Yes, this is why I was asking for a correct cost. Since even at 2WU, it still seems a little strong as it can stop two creatures from attacking you (they come into play on the opponent's upkeep, and unless they have haste, they can't attack).

I was thinking that it might be more fair if it had no mana cost and rather maybe something like Suspend 1--2WU.

    Instant
Remove target nonland permanent and ~ from the game. If that nonland permanent and ~ are removed from the game this way put one time counter on them. If they don't have suspend, they gain suspend

So, what would be the fair cost for this. It most certainly would contain white, but beyond that I'm not sure. Maybe it shouldn't have a cost and rather a suspend cost.

The thing is, libraries and hands are not face down by any sense of the word used today. Face down is used only to describe morph and removing from the game at the moment. There doesn't really seem to be any reason to extend what face down means and it is rather unintuitive to use face down when referring to hands and libraries. Hands especially, as they are NOT face down unless someone decides to put them on the table that way. They are hidden, not face down.

What? Dreamhalls is BANNED in legacy.

Er, I meant Vintage. My mistake. Sorry.

I've been testing a list for legacy. I've been testing it in a MBC shell, which wins through Kiki-Jiki + Sky Hussar Combo. One Conflux gets you: Kiki, Hussar, Random card to pitch for kiki, random card to pitch to hissar, and one more card of your choice. This all has to happen with a Dream Halls in play of course.

Well, 5 life is much better and 3 damage to the face is pretty damn good as well. I still wish it costed 5 though. It would be on the verge of constructed playable then. It's still an excellent limited card (less blue than the other colors).

Anyone given thought to them doing a Core set thats not a bunch of reprints?

(And don't tell me it couldn't be done - Alpha wasn't a bunch of crappy reprints)

I dont understand why everyone gets so up in arms over the notion of a 6th color. It WILL eventually happen. The irony to me is no one seems to mind that they feel the need to drum up at least 2-3 new keywords in EVERY set - wouldn't it be a novelty to slow that down a little and explore the ones we have with some depth?

There is no guarantee that there will EVER be a 6th color. There is no reason to have one (besides maybe a joke for an Un- set or something similar). It would just mess up the color pie and would turn a lot of people off of the game entirely. Any talk of a 6th color is useless, because as long as WotC knows what's good for them, there will NEVER be one.

thats much better than bitter blossom. why would they even consider it. absurd. der

    Enchantment

    exalted
put a 1/1 white soldier token into play, target opponent gains 1 life?

    maybe?

Er, this is most likely BETTER than Bitterblossom. Seriously, there is no way this would see print. You get to attack with a pumped up creature and keep blockers back. It would make W/B tokens the most broken deck in standard.

  • posted a message on How do you dream?
I usually can't remember my dreams when I wake up, or maybe I just don't dream to often. When I do dreams, it can be all over the place, but usually its about something like a movie I just saw or a book i'm reading. Sometimes though, I do get those really trippy dreams like i'm hiding in a bathroom and werewolves are after me and then I realize I actually am a werewolf myself and other crazy things like that.

The one dream that has stuck with me for a long time is one where I was in a desert or some other such place with many pillars of rock wherever I looked. Suddenly I was on top of one of them that was taller and thicker than the rest and there was some giant dark thing in a nest up there that gave me the task to find it a roast chicken or it would eat me, and then I woke up. Seriously, what was that about?

Also, a few times I've had those prophetic dreams that somehow come true, but not for a while now.

Chronozoa can be fun. You can seriosly go crazy with them if they can't deal with the first one.

Gatekeeper: I don't really know what to say. The only two in play is kind of strange. Why is this red or black?

Riftwatcher: Do you not want them to be able to play spells during any turn not their own, or do you not want them to play instants in general? The latter might be too powerful.

Fire Heart: This is too powerful. Red doesn't ever get hyper efficient hasty flyers for 2 mana + 1 later.

Blink Moth: Too weak, needs higher P/T.

Land: It has a mana cost? I think some rules would have to be changed to allow that. Why not just "When ~ comes into play pay 1 or sacrifice ~." Probly is too powerful as well.

Not really sure what to say about Asalya, it's not overpowered or that weak, so I guess its fine as is.

Aside from Fae not really belonging outside of B/U now and previously G as well, your cards seem ok flavorwise. If the flavor of the set is such that it allows R fae, then it's fine.

Hybrid mana is like this : symbu : = U/B mana if you take out the spaces. Substitute the last two letters to represent the hybrid of your choice.
