I agree with you, but I don't think that they want to make something strictly better than unsummon.

I still wouldn't play it if it cost U.

Strictly better than Unsummon?! That would be insane! What would we even call such a card? Hmm, Vapor Snag sounds ok.

This is more like a weak Call to Heel. I don't think Scry 2 would have pushed it too far, but this works I guess. Read the Bones is pretty sweet. I'm a bit sad that Scry is the only mechanic they have me excited for thus far.

This is not, the greatest two drop skeleton in the wor-orld. This is just a tribute.
Reassembling did get printed in two core sets in a row. I like the pseudo Goblin Bombardment. I doubt I'll ever get the original in Modern, so this'll have to do. With a bit of ramp, the new Wastes is as fast if not faster than Tec Edge. I'll have to grab some up. That wurm is pretty sick. I may have to start working a roguish green life gain for Modern.

Not that I expect to see this ever happen, but this is the first PW with an emblem that isn't redundant if you can manage to ultimate more than once. I'll see if a good Doubling Season or two can make it work, at least at the kitchen table.

Is it just me, but wouldn't the ending been a lot better if Batman had punched Talia straight in the face as she lays dying because of the roller coaster she put him through, and then she gets to live to see him taking the bomb away so that she dies defeated instead of triumphant?

Also, why wasn't the prison dark?

It would have been better if she and Bane had both lived, known of their failure, and then Bats didn't retire right after coming out of retirement. I mean we got a whole years worth of actual Batman activity out of Nolan's Batman with an eight year hiatus in between. So much of that just doesn't feel like Bruce Wayne. The prison was mostly shown during the day with the sun shining in to give a sense of hope. It makes less sense that no one seems to be able to scale a wall with a rope, especially Batman.

I enjoyed the film as a movie going experience. I was disappointed with some of the directions they took, and with some of the plot holes left out of apparent laziness. Most have been mentioned from what I saw in the past few pages, but one that really bothered me is:

How is it that Bruce spends the whole film, nearly, repairing the damage of him neglecting his self appointed duty to Gotham and Wayne Enterprises, to then fake his own death after being vindicated in the eyes of the public and police alike? That makes no sense. I don't care when they deviate from canon a bit. I do care when it seems like they don't understand the character. It was a bad enough start that he had hung up the cowl for as long as he had, but then when shown clear evidence that his lack of activity within his company and his city has brought disaster to both, he just retires? That doesn't feel like Bruce Wayne at all. Also, since when does Batman, a trained ninja, have trouble scaling a wall with a rope?

Excited to play Yeva in a few decks. Her strength isn't just in green creatures with etb triggers, it's that green can play conservatively on its own turn and then play reactively on the opponent's. Now you can save mana for instant speed answers, and if you don't need them, cast creatures at the end of their turn.

Fiend Hunter's LTB trigger resolves first, and Critter A is gone for good.
Recurring him is not bringing the same Fiend Hunter back, though it is the same card. Since it has left the field, it is now considered a different creature.

Bias would mean people that think it's been too good for too long have a skewed perspective on the color. They don't. Blue gets half the mechanics of the color pie without sufficient drawbacks. By concentrating power in one color over others it narrows the viable options, warps metagames and limits the variety of experience of the game.

Nothing changes without complaints. Get over it.

Yes and no. Bias is not by definition irrational. The bias comes first when blue gets adequate tools for control, which is in blues slice. That however creates noninteractive play, and so they nerf control, and try to make blue flavored aggro, which is out of blue's slice. Especially when it comes in the form of the most efficient 1 drop creature ever. Blue is in a way always going to be hated by a large part of the player base, since it either will do what it should well enough to make noninteractive games, or get other parts of the pie in a smaller card pool to allow for more interactive play. I don't like that Delver was ever printed, since it is out of blues flavor, but Valakut warped the hell out of formats too, as did SFM, as does Phyrexian mana, as does Infect, etc. The only problem I have here is blue getting things out of color, because as some have mentioned, you can always play around control, and bait counter. I enjoy playing all colors and multiple deck strategies, and would like to see what many here are are saying, truly balanced formats in regards to color. Sadly, that is easier said than done. Harder to do however, when people gripe about a color doing what it should, and giving development little choice other than to make it do what it shouldn't.

OT- Strange how in the last chunk I felt underwhelmed, as the most notable spoil was Vile Rebirth in my opinion. The lack of a goblin lord leaves me slightly disappointed. Other than that, I am fairly pleased with what this new core has to offer. They could have kept Rewind's old 8th/9th flavor text, but that's just a matter of preference.

You guys are crazy! Do you know what this means? We get to play Battle of Wits decks in standard! I've only heard distant legends of back when these were played in standard. The best thing is that people would bring them to tournaments and they'd eventually get in the same bracket, so that one round would definitely go to time.

Does anybody have some particular resources in order to get a good starting spot with this deck?

I posted the official thread for when it was in T2 on the first page. That should give you an idea of where to start. The first thing I noticed is that the mana base available for it now is far better than the tap lands used then. It seemed to run an obscene amount of answers for early threats, a decent amount of board wipes, and then a couple extra win cons in case you can't seem to draw/tutor for a BoW. I think with Terminus and (for now) Life's Finale, the board wipes are ample. We'll have to see what other early game answers and alternate win cons (seems strange to say it like that, since BoW is really an 'alt wincon') will be available.

We'll see if any other tutor effects come around to help fetch the BoW. In the mean time it has to have enough threats to last and keep the opponent busy, or straight out win if you can't get to your BoW. Again, we'll have to see what else we get with M13. It may even have to wait for RtR.
Here is the official thread for when BoW was a thing back in '06: http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=21763

Actually, as the rules state, at any point you would both win and lose the game you would lose. Smile ha....

You mean draw, as the situation was set up. The point was with Arc Lightning functional reprint you could choose to win, lose, or draw just to be a jerk.

Lulz at the idea of it being arc trail and constantly losing games.

Ultimate troll action. "I could have killed you with with super expensive combo, but I'll just die with you." Even better with Flames of the Firebrand, since you could kill off up to 3 opponents, but could troll just as effectively.

I'm not sure for standard, but I can see some combo potential with spelltwine. You can use Faithless looting for something like Worldfire, then play spelltwine to copy said spell. You really don't care much for your opponent's graveyard, but it at least cheapens insanely expensive sorceries that can win once resolved.

Now if only they have a burn spell in the grave to really make it an instant kill. I'll laugh even more if ever someone has a Sign In Blood in the grave as I go to Spelltwine into Worldfire!

Glad to see Mutilate, but then again, I play modern, so it's already there.

No it isn't. I've been waiting to throw my Mutilates in any Mono B deck for modern, but couldn't until now. Duel deck printings can only be used in formats that the original printings can be.
