ive settled on using dragon shield matte black on everything to make it easy to swap stuff around. a little thicker than other sleeves ive tried but i dont double sleeve so its not too bad.

i like keeping cubes in dex single row boxes.

i like keeping set block cubes in the dex supreme boxes. a bit overkill for a standard sized cube but there is plenty of room for land/tokens and a larger "maybe" section than the actual cube section which i like for my set block cubes.

if you like keeping your cube in deck boxes, the gamegenic dungeon is pretty solid. i do not like the dungeon for unboxed cards.

    Hello,

I recently got back into MTG after the GF saw my old cards and played a game with me. 3 months later I now have at least 10x more cards than i did as a poor youth. I think she genuinely enjoys the game but is probably not ready for building a deck so ive mostly have been buying precon commander, duel decks and a few brawl decks that have gotten decent reviews. Other than that ive bought tons of singles of old stuff that used to kick my ass (Wrath of God, Mother of Runes)in the past and new stuff that catches my interest.

To satisfy my deck building itch, i have almost completed a collection of Innistrad and SOI block and plan to make a cube using mostly cards from ISD and swapping stuff out with the other 4 sets. Ive done the same with the 3 Tarkir sets. Ive been skipping the more expensive rares that aren't needed and dont add fun.

The plan is to build one more set or block cube and then make a pool with my existing cards to build modern and commander cubes. With two people you dont need a large cube so its very easy for me two modify it between drafts.

Whats next? I keep reading that Ravnica, Dominaria, and Conspiracy would be good choices. Would you go with something else?

Ravnica: This will probably be it. OG only or do i look at the other sets?
Dominaria: What makes this one special?
Conspiracy: We do 2 man pancake draft so not interested in draft specific cards in the set. skip it?

Any input is appreciated, thanks for reading and sorry for the long post.

I could see adding some LOTR and D&D cards(is forgotten Realms not part universes beyond?)to a cube as they fit the theme. but 40k? cant do it. maybe its own set/block cube if I could get into the power armor and the mechanics are fun.

i know this is an older thread but if anyone is in the same boat i'd recommend buying a decent precon commander deck, playing it with the new group and upgrade the precon by buying singles (or pull from your cube or existing collection) if it turns out to be underpowered (probably will) vs the other 3. i saw some of the decks going for $10 online the other day. i think all of them have a sol ring...

there are a few other cards in each precon that you can use for other commander decks you piece together in the future. you can separate some of those lands and artifacts from a precon into a separate small deck box or your token box and leave a note in each commander deck reading "add: sol ring, command tower, arcane signet etc". you can reach into the separate "commander essentials" deck box and finish the deck in a minute or less if you want to share frequently used cards among decks and be frugal.

    hello,

i am sure everyone but myself knows the answer to this but i am having a hard time searching for the answer.

Izzet Chronarch : When Izzet Chronarch enters the battlefield, return target instant or sorcery card from your graveyard to your hand.

True or False: If there are no instants or sorcery cards in your graveyard, Izzet Chronarch cannot enter the battlefield. If the word "may" was included you would have the option to not return target card to hand.

    thanks!

Using card tags is mandatory in the Magic Rulings forum. Please check your private messages to learn how to use them. I've added them for this post.
