  • posted a message on What is the one card in MTG that you dispise the most?
    Sorrow's Path

I mean, this card was bad in the first place. I never even saw a viable deck that used this pile of garbage and then Wizard's goes and errata's it. It's as if they wanted it to stay the worst card. I never have agreed with the notion that they should intentionally make cards bad ~ that makes it so opening packs is often an exercise in futility ~ so this card is a representation of what is wrong with the game.

OOC So at this point, my character would probably realize there are two Aliyah's for some reason.

"Okay, how are you standing here beside me and being there at the same time..."

Damion draws out his dagger and puts a little distance between himself and her.

I didn't see any real mention of it, but Damion still intended to set the motion mine assuming there was somewhere he could put it that would guarantee its usefulness.

I guess we just keep going in the direction that the tracks lead...

OOC: Okay let me get something straight:
    1. Damion is not searching for food amongst corpses.
    2. I assumed that a cafeteria might have a stockpile of food somewhere, that's where he was looking to get something. I'm not going to be taking cans of beans off a dead person's body and be like "Oh beans, I love these!"
    3. My character probably would have a hard time eating much with the massacre in the cafeteria, so he wanted to grab something small to eat and take a bit of food stuffs with him (encumbrance permitting).

"Great, we really don't have time for this. Think we can make a run for it? That door over there, I'll plant a mine on it as we go through it; guess we'll have to find another means to exit after that though."

(This is assuming there's a door we're supposed to head through ~ at this point, I'm not really sure where I am in comparison with the others or where I'm headed).

Damion will program the mine as they're running, so that when he plants it, all he has to do is hit one button to set it.

Damion says to Aliyah: "Uh, I'm not really sure what you mean by that, but it's rather ominous.. "

OOC: Did Damion find anything to eat or is he still hungry?

"Let's keep moving. Dmitri can't be that far ahead - I didn't see his body in here so he must still be alive. Now it's my turn to worry about him."

"Well, it's probably best not to linger. Let's a take a brief look around and then move on."

Damion will do a quick search of the bodies (not searching through them, but looking at them) to see if he recognized any of the victims (namely Dmitri).

Damion will also, time permitting of course, do a quick search for any canned goods he might be able to scavenge.

Damion says to Aliyah: "Yep, I've got the dagger along with a few other things (showing the card key, the infrared goggles, and the motion mine) right here. I guess this should be okay for now."

"It's been a while since I've had something to eat.. let's hope there's still SOMETHING left in the cafeteria. Then again, I probably don't want to know..."

"There's no time to waste let's go." Damion rushes ahead.

Damion says to Aliyah: "Do you have a weapon of some sort? If there's some sort of stock room around, it might not hurt to pick up some supplies, i.e. a weapon, before making the trek.

Either way, I found this nifty locater that can help us get there quicker."

Damion pulls out the locater and hits a few buttons to see exactly where he is.

@ Aliyah: "I guess that kinda makes sense. I mean, I'm not COMPLETELY helpless... So which way do we go? You seem to know more about this Bunker 17 than I do."

Damion will also survey the area for any cameras that he might have time to repair along the way. 'You never know when those will come in handy,' he thinks to himself.

Damion, surprised, states: "Uh, what happened to Dmitri? Didn't you guys leave together?"

Damion looks at the locater he grabbed from the COMM room. Damion thinks to himself "I think this is the right way..."

Damion thinks to himself: "Well, there isn't much I can do here. Unless I want to go about wandering the grounds with just this dagger, it's probably in my best interest to head towards the bunker."

Depressing the intercom button Damion states: "This is Damion from the main comm station. After much tinkering, I can't get most of the electronic equipment online. I know most of you are scared, but if you see a security camera on your way to the bunker, it might be in your best interest to repair it if you can. It'll come in handy later I'm sure."

Damion then prepares to head towards bunker 17.

OOC: Now you said that none of the equipment was small enough to carry ~ i.e. the Locater is too big to bring with me? If not, I'll be taking that.

2ndly - I just noticed going through the equipment list I purchased, I have an infrared optics, but not the skill to use it.. what should I do about this? It appears that computing/combat was not such a wise choice.

I disagree with the Vader commentary, he's incredibly powerful. Yoda is annoying due to his size, but I think PS3 got the better character (not even going to debate who's a better Star Wars character...).

I see they tried to address some of the balance issues 3 had. My favorite characters were:

    Sophitia
    Xianghua
    Nightmare

Sophitia's strikes and movement speed feel reduced. They also remapped some of her attacks (like the up + kick) which is interesting, but overall annoying.

Xianghua - I don't know why, but it definitely feels like she's also gotten slower. They added a ton of "cancel" attacks to her base moves which is EXTREMELY annoying when you buffer attacks (i.e. you don't see the attack, did it not register? or do I need to hold it for a while longer to make sure?).

Nightmare - Insanely powerful. I still think the SC2 version of him was the most broken, but what are you gonna do?

The game on a whole is a 9.5/10 ~ I just wish story mode was longer than 5 levels... (I like more character development).

Damion looks around: "What else is in this room? If I can't get security cameras online, maybe I can find a map out of here"

OOC: What else is in this room?

Damion says to himself: "Well, 2 security cameras is a start, but it's not really all that useful. I wonder if some of them were just busted in the "earthquake" or something.

Oh well, make do with what I can for now..."

Damion says "I may have to do some serious tinkering to get the security system back online. No guarantee that the secondary systems will even be able to access some of these circuits.

I think we can risk one person trying to get the systems online. Just think, if I do, if ANYONE shows up at bunker room 17, I can let you know what's coming your way, or I can let you know which way to get out of here.

Just make sure you clear a decent path for me, you know, lots of dead monsters would be great."

Damion starts to look around for something to barricade himself in. He definitely does not want a visit.
