I'm new at MTGSalvation and Modern (and a portuguese native speeker!!!), so I'm sorry if the post seems weird.
I'm thinking about build a Grixis Aggro-Control deck a bit different from other builds I usually see on internet. I'm a fan of Delver decks and I like the power of Scourge of Skyclaves (it's almost a black Tarmogoyf and doesn't require such a suicidal gameplan like Death's Shadow). Although, this demon force us to constantly poke the opponent's life points to get bigger and bigger. So, I decided to try an aggressive but disrupt deck, with a lot of burn tools, but able to play a tempo/midrangy gameplan.
Let's take a look at the list:
Creatures (15)
4 Scourge of the Skyclaves
4 Vexing Devil
4 Delver of Secrets
1 Snapcaster Mage
2 Sprite Dragon
Spells (27)
4 Serum Visions
2 Opt
2 Bump in the Night
4 Lightning Bolt
2 Fatal Push
1 Dispel
1 Dive Down
2 Spell Pierce
1 Stubborn Denial
1 Spell Snare
1 Claim // Fame
1 Kolaghan's Command
1 Finale of Promise
4 Thoughtseize
The plan A is play an aggressive/tempo gameplan, casting Delver and Vexing Devils to attack the opponent's life total (Sprite Dragon is also a fast/evasion creature to poke my opponent's life). Fetchs + shock lands will reduce MY life total and then I may cast a BIG Scourge of Skyclaves on turn 3 (or even 2 maybe). Counters and Dive Down would protect my threats . I don't like to play a stricktly "linear deck" (that's why no Temur Battle Rage for instance), the fun is the interactive plays, so I decided to brew something that have a midrangy approach, trying to be a flexible deck with "reversibility", able to assume a more disruptive/control plan B role if I need to (that's why Snapcaster, K-Command and Finale of Promise).
What do you Think about this? Any suggestions?
PS: No sideboard list yet because I'm still working on sketching ideas
