Chancellors are not legendary so all of them should stay until you have to sacrifice the tokens due to Orthion's ability at the beginning of the next end step

Can in the name of the lord somebody explain to me, what's the digital part of this card that wouldn't be "reasonably" or "logistically" be doable in paper?

It's perfectly reasonable. It simply means they are trying out new things as well. The digital environments seems like a good place to try out new things regardless whether they can be done on paper or not. "Wins" seems to imply they creature you control did not die due to state based actions immediately following the fight while the other creature did. I bet we'll see it in paper.

With this and the other green card spoiled that exiles cards from graveyard, I guess graveyard hate is moving to green? I don't remember there being much graveyard hate prior to MH2.

The first card I played with that exiled cards from a graveyard was green: Night Soil. Green has exiled from its own graveyard a lot, but they've been moving steadily away from weird hate like Ground Seal, Wheel of Sun and Moon, and Krosan Reclamation since the first commander precons a decade ago. Not that this card is interesting but there's a lot of precedent now

Did Scion have to be legendary? Draco always felt like it should have been legendary to me so I guess this fixes that flavor issue. But the cost reduction and ability is worthless in EDH. You can't play other basic lands besides Wastes and need cards like Navigator's Compass and Unstable Frontier to get any cost reduction and color changing effects to grant abilities. I know it's a Modern set, but a 2 cost 4/4 doesn't seem that pushed relatively so why make it legendary. Flavor?

So how do the counters stack in regards to the storm copies ETBing?

you get x 2+x/2+x oozes where x is equal to your storm count.

I'm not sure that's quite right. The storm trigger will resolve and create a number of copies equal to the number spells cast before. The copies will resolve individually and thus enter the battlefield one at a time, triggering any abilities as a result which will resolve before any further copies of Aeve. So assuming nothing affects the number of oozes you control between copies resolving, each one will be +1/+1 more than the previous. Also, it is not a triggered ability; Aeve enters the battlefield with the counters as a replacement effect.

The old border does soften the modern techniques for artwork and creates a nice effect, but it's all an aesthetic judgment so personal preference. The old border does have contrast issues with the text, so that is an accessibility issue which is why I'm glad for the current border.

Urza's Saga looks more and more like uncounterable Trinket Mage on a land - possibly with an extra body, and definitely with some versatility if you cannot pay for the creature - the more I look at it. It'll probably be deceptively good.

I don't think it's deceptively good, I think it's great. It's a land, it can create two bodies on it's own without untapping it some other way like Seedborn Muse, in my EDH decks it gets Sol Ring at the very least, as an enchantress player of a few formats it triggers constellation and temporarily pumps Ethereal Armor and All that Glitters, it's a land, it's effectively a turn 1 Lotus Bloom in Vintage if you don't have your Black Lotus in your hand, it's loaded with flavor and history, and it's a land. I'll take all of them. It will only get better for this card.

I'm only disappointed that it took this long to get an Enchantment Land.

As I think about it, if all you want is that one Temple Garden, then selling the other two as a sort-of-rebate might be pretty good. As far as we know the enemy shocks will have half the the supply, and the Bant box has two U/x lands and one of them is Breeding Pool which I do think will hold a decent price. You still have some time to see how things move. Full disclosure, I like secret lair more than dislike; the ones that don't look like magic cards really appeal to me like the band posters and heavy metal.

Tough call. Certainly the price will drop some once supply starts getting into people's hands, but it will go back up; where it settles is hard to predict. You could always buy the SL and plan to sell the other two lands as a form of rebate if you really just want that one land.

Super psyched for squirrels! Also, that collector booster reminds me of the Ikoria showcase style. The three eyes on the neck of that elk-beast have Ikoria nightmare vibes.

Thanks! I see now between 702.2b and 702.2c how the dealing of damage because of an ability or spell is different from the assigning of combat damage. That further clarifies the deathtouch/trample interaction during combat because you may assign 1 damage from a creature with deathtouch. Toralf isn't a Super-Duper Death Ray lol. Damage doesn't kill things, state-based actions do.

    Toralf, God of Fury
    Jaya, Venerated Firemage

CR 120.4a Excess damage is damage greater than the creature’s toughness, taking into account damage marked on that creature and other damage being dealt to it at the same time as this damage. Any damage greater than 1 is excess damage if the source dealing that damage has deathtouch.

When you cast Lightning Bolt targeting Kambal, Kambal's ability will trigger and resolve before anything else.

Jaya has a replacement effect that changes how damage from red sources is dealt, and Toralf has a triggered ability that triggers when excess noncombat damage is dealt. Lightning Bolt would deal 3 damage to Kambal, but because of Jaya's replacement effect, the damage is 4 which is 1 more in excess of Kambal's toughness. This triggers Toralf's ability which can target Emrakul because it is an ability, not an instant. Jaya's replacement effect will affect Toralf's ability because it is a separate event causing damage from a red source; Toralf's ability would cause 1 damage but is changed to 2. Because Toralf has deathtouch, 1 damage from Toralf is lethal damage so Toralf has dealth excess damage which triggers Toralf's ability again

Strixhaven is fine with basically All is Dust holding practically all of the value.

Fractured Identity is a decent value too which surprised me when I saw it.

I really like this idea; I considered this idea too, but never made any decks or lists. Jumpstart appealed to me, but because of supply, pricing, and pandemic I never played it or bought it. I think some of your themes are more interesting or create more interesting crossovers. Shimmerdrift Vale could be a good addition alongside Vivids and Thriving lands.
