Mark Rosewater has written frequently about conserving mind-space: keywords are an essential part of this; pairing certain creature types with specific abilities helps; sometimes development ensures that power and toughness match to keep in-game math managable. Lately though, I've been noticing pollution of mind-space outside the game in the form of new expansion symbols. With each Duel Decks, From the Vault, and other special product getting its own unique one-time symbol, the number of new symbols has jumped from about four each year to about seven. I'm finding it kind of fatiguing, and I'm wondering if others do to. Thus, this poll.
(Edit: If an admin can correct the plural/singluar mistakes in the poll options, that'd be awesome. 'Each lines' in particular is driving me nuts.)
Sadly, these two mechanics don't interact as you're hoping since buyback depends on the spell going to the graveyard when it resolves, and flashback requires the card to be removed from the game (exiled) instead of going to the graveyard.
(As it so happens, your question a source of interest for many when Unhinged was first release and is consequently addressed in the offical FAQ!)

I think this is another tool to make sure you do play the Mythic Eldrazi. The last thing they want is for their shiniest toys to be ignored.
It's unmistakably the Socket Wrench of Kaldra, which Kaldra has been using while she rebuilds hot rods in her retirement.
Provides me with a measure of comfort in this Avonless world.
