Thank you lol, except I didn't make it. I got the list from the official forums. All I did was switch mulldrifter for Cephalid Constable because it gives you a better win con.
At the official forums there was a thread about a cool blue/green deck, and I wasn't sure if there was a thread about it over here so I thought I would start one.
I just tried it out because I've been looking for a fun cheap deck, and this deck is VERY fun. You want to get birds out first turn, then second turn constable. Next turn you wings it and attack, which will reset their board. Or you can Favor it and do the same.
I want to play a good standard deck, I'm sick of losing. I'd like to play demigod red because I already have the demigods and everything else , but I would need 4 figure of destiny and 4 magus of the moon, which is $100 right there and magus is rotating out so thats not too appealing. So I guess I'll have to just play my burn deck at FNM for 3 more months until I find out that nothing will change in the next set and it will cost $300 for a competative deck.
There are so many money cards out there right now. And I'm not just talking about bitterblosm, thoughtsieze etc, there are so many $10 cards too. And add in mythic rares, pretty much any deck that has a set of those will be unobtainable for any player who doesn't spend all of their money on magic.
I think white weenie/kithkin is kind of weak in standard right now. I was looking to build a more controlish version of it, with less emphasis on early beaters and quick wins. I was thinking that I would use mirrorweave as a win condition, which means thistledown liege, wizened cenn, spectral procession and cloudgoat ranger are all on the table. For control, mana tithe, oblivion ring, forgetender, etc (and maybe even story circle? why doesnt story circle see more play?).
Maybe mirrorweave is too hard to pull off without that many creatures, and I should go for Light From Within as my win con? That way I wouldnt need all the creature counter producing spells. (on further thought this is a bad idea i think, and from playing a couple games online i think mirrorweave is the way to go)
Any suggestions? Last week at my FNM someone was playing a deck like this and he took first, but all I saw was him using oblivion ring, mana tithe, spectral procession and forgetender MD, so I'm not sure if it was mirrorweave.
Ok I threw together something that seems to work pretty well on MWS.
Obviously needs some tweaking, but thats why I am asking the experts I'm not that experienced of a magic player. I went with 3 forgetenders as it is kind of situational, and bumped it up to 24 lands. Suggestions?

Maybe some spells that prevent combat damage, although I want to have a way to win, not just prevent losing.

I think I may just end up buying all the lands but reflecting pool, I figured it out to be $130. I'd rather play the deck to its full potential than play a watered down version to save some money.
I've been testing this deck online lately and I really like it. Just a couple questions though.
I'm running 24 lands but I for some reason tend to miss land drops a lot. Most of the time i can get 3 lands out but sometimes I just cant draw a land after that. Whats the minimum number of lands you keep before you mulligan?
Also, I'm going to my first PTQ like a week and a half after eventide comes out. Anyone know of any changes that this deck will have after it is legal? I don't have much time to playtest between those two times.
Oh, and I can get everything in my SB that I need, 3 Guttural Response, 3 Makeshift Mannequin, 2 Chandra Nalaar but am definitley not going to be able to get fulminator mage, so what should I put in there instead?
I always hate asking this, but I'm kind of on a budget and i'd like to keep the deck under $100. If I replace some of the more expensive lands like reflecting pool and some auntie's hovels with vivid lands? Could someone help me figure out the right ratio of this, or am I just doomed and should stop looking at this deck. Is it possible to cut down on some of the unbasic lands?
I can't play black because I need thoughseize/bitterblossom, blue you need cryptic commands, green you need garruk, any tribal deck you need mutavaults, elementals you need a $200 mana base, same with all the multi colored decks floating around.
So that narrows it down to playing a mediocre deck if I dont want to pay $300. Gee I thought magic was supposed to be fun... I wouldn't be able to have fun even if I did have a deck that cost that much because I would know that I just spent $300 on a deck of cards.
But thanks!
