Quote from Rosy Dumplings »I think spellicopter is a bit too good. The fact that you can exile spells that your opponent would counter to still gain value off of it, that fuel remains in exile for future spellicopters you play, and that this is a colorless 1-drop makes this feel a bit too good for eternal formats where a player might shoot out free spells to give this thing a spontaneous boost...
A 1/1 flier for 2 that gets +1/+1 for each fuel, while less exciting, would still be a major player in standard and would get a lot done with less risk of becoming ubiquitous.

The game will never die.
D&D didn't die after the debacle of the 4th edition. Yet to try ask its developers or Hasbro if they are happy with their past decisions.
This whole "unless the game dies, it doesn't matter" rethoric is really naive.
Magic will never die. It doesn't mean it can't fail.

Quote from rowanalpha »If you really want the two counters, go with the equal CMC instead of equal or less than cmc. You need a valve for when it gets a lot of counters, I don't think the scry is a super great fit in black and its probably not fast enough if a lot of creatures die at once.
Vial of Viruses 1B
Whenever a creature dies, put a two plague counter on Vial of Viruses.
1B, T, Remove X plague counters from Vial of Viruses. Put target creature card with converted manacost X or less from your graveyard on top of your library.
1B, T, Sacrifice Vial of Viruses: Destroy all non-artifact creatures with converted mana cost X, where X is the number of plague counters on Vial of Viruses. Activate this ability only as a sorcery.
This should make the card more strategic without being overbearing.
Quote from Decadent_Creed »Even if you disagree with someone's opinion it would foster a much more positive environment if you didn't call people whiners or otherwise negatively mischaracterize them. It does nothing to further discussion and only serves to antagonize people you disagree with. I'd like to be able to state my opinions on this board without being met with rudeness.
Quote from Decadent_Creed »Why does any criticism always have to be twisted into "screaming," "whining," and "crying?" Can't people have opinions without being denigrated? It's not hard to be civil and be intellectually honest about people's concerns.
Quote from ashrog »It could also be balanced by gaining 2 counters at a time, but only destroying creatures with CMC equal to the number of counters.
Then adding an activated "outlet" ability that removes counters. For example:
1B, Remove a plague counter from ~: Scry 1.
Thematically, you are doing research and concocting a plague to only affect certain creatures.
Quote from rowanalpha »I like the concept. I could see something like this in a phyrexian themed set..
I think this ticks up too fast. One counter per creature would be more balanced, and probably should only get counters for your creatures dying if you want it to stay at 1 cmc.
