When I play a Flameskull and it dies, it goes to the graveyard and then gets exiled. I take the top card from my library and exile it as well. If I play either card, what happens to the other at end of turn? Does it stay in exile or revert to the graveyard?
In general, the effects of Flameskull's ability happen first.
In general, if a triggered ability (such as Flameskull's last ability) triggers as you pay the cost of a spell or ability, the just-triggered ability will go on the stack above that spell or ability (here, Tortured Existence's ability) (C.R. 405.2) and get to resolve before it (C.R. 117.4). Thus, the Flameskull ability will get to resolve before Morbid Curiosity ability does.
Thank you. I thought the skull ability would happen first but just wanted to make sure. I appreciate it. The only other question is when the Flameskull gets exiled and I draw a card and exile it, they are available until end of turn is that correct? So I can then draw my 3 cards from the Morbid Curiosity and then decide if I want to recast the skull or the other exiled card?
So I have a Flameskull on the board and I sacrifice it for a Morbid Curiosity and am wondering how the timing of this works. Do I draw the 3 cards from the Morbid Curiosity first and then Flameskull ability triggers or does Flameskull ability happen first? I just want to make sure the correct card gets exiled and I have the proper draw in my hand.
So in a three player game, anything that dies during MY turn, before my end step, would be brought back at the beginning of MY end step and the ball lightning if not killed, would come back on the next players end step?
So I thought that priority was “who’s turn it is” but I am seeing that is wrong. Can someone please explain “priority” in simple terms. That leads me to a question. I read somewhere that if there are multiple triggers that happen at the same time then the controller chooses the order. If I have 3 things that happen “at the beginning of your end step” then I choose the order. But what if an opponent has something that triggers at the beginning of the “end step” as well? Who’s goes first? If I have a ball lightning and a lifeline on the table during my turn, they both trigger “at the beginning of the end step” but since it’s my turn, I get to have the ball lightning get sacrificed first so the lifeline can bring it back. What if my opponent had an enchantment that said “at the beginning of your end step, each opponent looses life equal to the number of creatures they have on the battlefield” I would assume that during my turn, my triggers would go first and theirs would go after mine. But what about when it’s their turn?
So just a quick question about sneak attack. I’m assuming from the errata and the newest wording of the card that I can use this ability even when it is not my turn, to cast a creature for blocking purposes. Is this correct?
Ok. So then if the 3/3 creatures had toughness of 6 or higher then they would take damage from both sources, correct? Anything with less toughness will die from the Rupture. So add a Repercussion to the scenario and my opponent would take 5 from Rupture (as do I), 10 from the Repercussion, their creatures die and Ryusei's ability does nothing because there are no creatures left on the board?
So I haven't seen this question asked, i've seen similar but this is still in question. I have Ryusei, The Falling Star( When Ryusei, The Falling Star is put into a graveyard from play, it deals 5 damage to each creature without flying.) on the board and my opponent has two 3/3 creatures. If i cast a Rupture, (Sacrifice a creature. Rupture deals damage equal to that creature's power to each creature without flying and each player) and sac Ryusei, how does the damage get dealt? Does the Rupture take effect first or does Ryusei's ability happen first due to him being a requirement upon casting the Rupture? The next question is, does the damage from one kill the two 3/3 creatures before the other can hit them or does the damage from one wait until the spell resolves for all the damage to occur? My assumption is that the Sacrifice is part of the cost of the Rupture and the damage from Ryusei will happen after the spell resolves thus the Rupture will do 5 damage to each player and each of the 3/3 creatures then Ryusei's ability will trigger due to his demise dealing another 5 to each of the 3/3 creatures or are they dead from the Rupture?
