You're correct, of course. It's an alt-art Silver Knight. Interesting that they put the FNM art on the Oblivion Ring.
The Knight deck is solid WG, Juniper order Ranger, Kinsbaile, Exemplar, Steward of Valeron. It's pretty decent.....
.....and has to be because the Dragon side is...... probably not what will sell this product.
As someone who has FTV: Dragons, Planechase and Archenemy, I'm knee-deep in the same cards again.
The Viridian Shaman reveal, the Beacon-esque reshuffle X spells and a couple of other tidbits suggest that there will be some other reprint-type cards in MBS. We also have a 1BB Rat card that's been confirmed much like Chittering Rats and a 4B removal spell (if Essence Drain could have been considered a removal spell)
So I spent some time on Gatherer to see what they could reprint.
I'm thinking...... Skullclamp! I know, I know, it was a bit of a pain the first time but I don't see an issue with it now. Honestly. They've probably tested it properly. And put it up to Mythic. Possibly not.
Or Tooth and Nail. Modular spells have proven to be cool so why not bring back the big daddy? Even a cheaper version that only gets Infect creatures? Actually no, that would be a bad idea.
You know, DST had quite a few horriffic cards: 'Clamp, T&N, Titan, Trinisphere, Pithing Needle, Blinkmoth Nexus, Fierce Empath, DSC, Forge, Reactor, Death Cloud, Flamebreak, Panoptic Mirror, Swords and, of course, Well of Lost Dreams. A lot of that would completely wreck standard.
This speculation lark is harder than I thought.
What do you think will be reprinted or reprint-typed?
I really hope the infect battlecry happens, it makes sense sorta aside one keyword giving another keyword. It opens up design space for Phyrexian cards to not all have infect.
It must have something integral to the Phyrexians so that leaves us with Sacrificing (not really seen in this block), -1/-1 counters (or giving -x/-x) or something artifact-y.
I must ask Valérian and Laureline. It might be something they have come across.
According to the storyline, Tezzeret is on Mirrodin to help stop the Phyrexian Invasion on Nicol Bolas's orders.
Yep, it's flavour explosion time on Mirrodin. Can't wait until closer to the time and we can start getting down to the nitty gritty of Tez.
