Although I've been playing magic for sometime now, I recently downloaded Arena and something in the tutorial game made me question how I was going about one of the game mechanics. Specifically "That creature doesn't untap during its controller's next untap step."
Comparing cards Waterknot, Frost Lynx, and Icefall Regent. Waterknot, the creature stays tapped for as long as the enchantment stays in play - makes sense. When it comes to the cards Frost Lynx and Icefall Regent, that's where I'm looking for clarification. Icefall Regent has the specific condition tagged at the end "for as long as you control ice fall regent," but Frost Lynx doest not. Does the same condition "fro as long as you control Frost Lynx" apply even though it's not written but rather an implication, or once the "next uptap step" resolves the affected creature will then untap?
Hope this was clear, hope you can help. Thanks!
Using card tags is mandatory in the Magic Rulings forum. Please check your private messages to learn how to use them. I've added them for this post.
