Well, there's a 50% chance that Treasure Chest refuses to burp Treasure tokens when sacrificed. Popping the Chest and having it burp Treasure tokens does interact with Academy Manufactor like you think it would, but since the Chest is not itself a Treasure token, the Chest ETB won't trigger Manufactor.

You can indeed make Goblin Engineer or Daretti, Scrap Savant bring back the Chest by sacrificing a token produced in the process.

By the way, Shenanigans is an existing MTG card that destroys target artifact.

That's why i used Shenanigans as a playful term =P cause i would imagine if this works, people would try to remove treasure chest fast...

I mean, you pop out 5 Treasure tokens, each one due to Manufactor creates 1 Food, 1 treasure, 1 clue. That's 15 Tokens, you can sacrifice one token to get the treasure chest back in the board and you still have 4 so you can activate it immediately again if you want to, or just wait the next turnd and do it all again.

That has a chance of ending with you having 5/10 Clue and 5/10 Food tokens and overall 10/20 Artifact tokens in play. That if you burn your treasure tokens as this rolls out. That aside from the other benefits of Treasure chest. There is some fun stuff you can do with that.

Treasure Chest Is a new card from Adventures in the Forgotten Realms

Does it intereact with Academy Manufactor like it appears to?

If so, if you have Goblin Engineer or Daretti, Scrap Savant[/card] in play, does this cause Shenanigans ?

Cause at first glance... it seems like that's Shenanigans.

So... what they Design is that you go with Tomb of Annihilation + Dungeon Crawler; You venture once to start the Dungeon, then Cloister Gargoyle to venture again, Sac Crawler, then venture again. You beat the Dungeon, you get Crawler back. Gargoyle is now a 3/4 with Flying and you have a 4/4 with Deathtouch.

That's the Fastest Clear possible with the current spoilers.

This mechanic will depend heavily on Pinging Venture or Low cost Venture.

This could be a good supplementary product. For example, this could have been a cool spin on the Planechase format. But, it has no business being in regular magic formats.
Agree. As is, it's kind of laughable that what seems like a the main mechanic of a set gives you only three (3!) options to explore. As a stand-alone supplemental product, they could have added much more variety. But Magic is now in the era where everything has to be legal in regular formats or the Hasbro bigwigs won't approve of it.

Do we have confirmation that there are only 3 Dungeons in the whole set?

The pre-release kits come with 3 DOUBLE SIDED foil dungeons... So, that would mean they are either priting different pairings of the 3, or that there are more. There is a commander deck that will for sure have it's own Dungeons too... the only thing we don't know is how often we get Dungeons in packs. Is it alternating with the Token card we get in packs? Or the Ad cards?

    i Would assume more Dungeons.

But there are not a whole lot of Well known named dungeons in the game. Maybe Temple of Elemental evil. But i can't think of another...

Since you can just pick freely what Dungeons you can use and you can use the same ones over and over, it doesn't matter how many there are in the set, as they will all be around the same power level.

So it's not really about if Dungeons give good rewards or not, it's going to be about what cards get better rewards from dugeons (to make it worht it) and what cards makes going through dungeons faster(to make it viable).

Azor's Elocutors + Clockspinning + Gilder Bairn + Vorel of the Hull Clade

If you manage to drop Azor's when Gilder and Vorel are on the board, Next turn on your maitenance Azor's get's a counter, +1 for Gildern, then double for Vorel, then clockspinning puts one more for 5 counters. Or you can Clockspinner then Vorel for 6.

This is Turn 5 with another full round of waiting till you can trigger, so it's very unlikely to go through. Only thing i can think of, is having a bunch of Counters and Fog cards to hold the line...

Also, to speed things along i plan on using Mystic Speculation cause it's a fantastic Scry tool.

This is one of those decks that playing for fun with friends might make you have less friends, but in my play ground we like putting BS decks like these and just have fun around, so i wanted to get an overall sense of what others might suggest on ways to improve this design and idea.

This is one heck of a necro

But how do we know rudys info is real
(it's around 5:34 for the norse part for everybody)

I would like Vikings/asgard and snow themed set asgard is Odin’s kingdom in norse mythology

If true my tin foil hat is commander legends set will prep up for that set (use some art reviews like origins did with kaladash)

Rudy had other videos earlier in the year, not to actually spread leaks or anything like that, but to tell people that people leak inside information about magic products frequently and to tell people about how bad WTOC is at controlling the leaks, and also as a way to show that there is a LOT of fake crazy leaks out there.

His focus is entirely on MTG Finance, so he has done videos on inside trading in the past... but even as he caters to his own pocket as an investor, he does a lot of educational content to try inform people to not be taken by FOMO, understanding the value proposition of MTG products and specially on people wanting to invest in magic and how not to screw yourself trying to gamble on MTG to make money, specially with product speculation and insider trading between WOTC big leakers and some of the major stores and distributors on the market.

So he does have a recent story on those topics, but his entire point is not to "sell" his brand as a leaker, but more of a "Beware that there are a LOT of leakers and people use that information to manipulate value of MTG products on the market". And being a MTG Finance guy he gets a LOT of leaks sent his way and now he is filtering some stuff forward ahead of time.

IF this is confirmed and after Zendikar we have a Norse themed set, it proves a lot of what he has been saying over the past few months which is good insight and helpful, but also serves as a good warning.

Plus, i only buy in sets that i like the themed, i loved Eldraine, and i'll gladly skip Zendikar with no Eldrazi and price bloat due to fetchlands, if that means i can save up to buy into a cool unique themed set with Vikins early next year...

So, Ok... this felt too much like a coincidence that's why im pushing this thread back up.

First... the OP on this thread mentioned a leak where a Norse themed product could be arriving near the end of 2020.

Now, Rudy from Alpha Investments posts a rumor video where he claims he received a tip that a Norse theme product would be coming after Zendikar. Snow themes reinforced, Squirels as the new "poster creature" .

EDIT: Video link seems broken so, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXwSdAOqYyQ&t=0s

Honestly, its kinda a bit too perfect... i think this is happening.

    Berserkers
    Runes
Maybe new Cycle of Circle of Protection ? Maybe new version?
    New Gods
Would absolutely expect "walk" abilities like Island walk, Swamp Walk etc to return to reflect Viking mythos of travelling
    Tribes
with Fire, Thunder and Ice, expect a lot of R/B synergy
