@TerRaine "The alignment is the issue. Not the flavor and role.
Carrows are 3P in this game and they were ardent Voldemort supporters.
Bellatrix was town and was THE stan/fangirl of vold
Malfoy was town and a lil ***** who turned on Voldy to save his own ass twice.
You're trying to force flavor logic to the alignments when there's no evidence of it and in fact evidence to the contrary. Maybe some to the roles but the alignment is this issue here."
Disagree. Both are useful.
Yes..... but they were also stated to be devoted to each other to the point of incest. Of the possible teams here they would be the best candidates for a SK team.
...K?
Yes, at the end of Book 7 when his son was threatened. Hence my wondering if we're in the first War or the second, though this game would fit into either right now regardless.
I am not trying to force it to alignments, I've already said this. And given that I could and have laid out why all of these flips make sense thematically I'd say there is evidence.
I still think alignment here is much less cut and dry than yall think. We have at least three different ways to win besides Town majority and Mafia majority. We're also all playing literally the worst people who had much less intrigue in the books than the fandom would prefer. This game is uber multiball shifting of alligences and yall are trying to form a town core isn't of playing it like an actual politics game.
@JoeTerry "I assuming Triss is trying to force a name claim, which seems naive or just plain scummy. Flavor is typically unbreakable on this forum. If someone designs a game that can be broken by flavor it usually doesn't make it past review. "
No I'm not, thanks. Also I was calling that if Rookwood existed, it would be investigative to Osie in Discord from D1. Hence my immediate reaction of "I was right!" when this day started. This game is totally flavor-readable since every flip has made at least some sense thematically so far. What even dude.
@Amy "no i mean
how does narrowing down which flavor names exist in the game help us solve people's alignments, given that flavor is apparently randed between factions "
I'm not looking for alignment, I'm looking for abilities. Alignment isn't going to make any sense at all with an entire group of evil villains under a dictator.
Antonin Dolohov
Corban Yaxley
Crabbe Sr
Goyle Sr
Evan Rosier/Sr
Jugson (claimed by Rhand atm)
Mulciber Sr/Jr (depends on War, probably similar mechanics)
Nott Sr
Pettigrew (if exists, likely Riddle reviver or traitor? Might be Axel?)
Selwyn (tortured Lovegood's father)
Thorfinn Rowle (accidently killed Gibbon, random shot vigi....?)
Travers (killed a minor offscreen NPC family, intimidated bank employees)
Walden Macnair (Dude who was going to execute Buckbeak the hippogriff, was sent to recruit the giants)
Nagini (snake Horcrux, hell knows, might be Axel?)
Hokay.
Crabbe and Goyle I would expect to be aligned in some manner other than just being on the same team, due to how both they and their sons are shown in canon. They're also portrayed unintelligent strongmen (not the role, though maybe?) so unlikely they are of investigative/roleblocking/information roles. Maybe bodyguards if town.
Expecting Axel, if claim is true, to be Nagini, Pettigrew, or Snape. Snape only if we do have a hidden Harry Potter in here somewhere, which would be amusing theme-wise. If Nagini/Pettigrew then Axel's target is likely one of the original Tom Riddles, not sure who else would even fit the Angel role honestly.
Rhand claims Jugson from a previous role, and is apparently now a Tom Riddle. Going to assume this is correct for now to make things simpler.
Travers might be a roleblocker.
Yaxley was one of the guys who was helping Umbridge "prosecute" Muggleborns during book 7. Roleblocker or info role?
Rosier died during the first War now I look again, taking him out next pass despite his dad still being around apparently?
Mulciber Jr mostly just escaped from Azkaban a lot. Might be a native bulletproof or something.
Nott avoided Azkaban the first time, and then was imprisoned in Book 5. Gravedigger fit Avery cause of the cowardly/flipfloppy portrayal but feel like this one would be at least slightly different.
Selwyn might be investigative.
Rowle didn't do much else besides miss a killing Curse shot and miss out on capturing HP later on. If extant, probably a chance heavy role.
Macnair might be investigative or a roleblocker I suppose.

This was a bad look:
deadbananas (8) - tomsloger, Slothful, Ampharos, Jackrito, Rhand, Rodemy, Starling, TerRaine
Bolded votes were bad votes. Straling hadn't even finished reading at that point and TerRaine's was a pretty assertive hammer w/no explanation. I'm going back to check a couple other details, but...
@LW: Starlings vote on DB was so bad, that I may have to comes to term with having been potentially pocketed by KPACA."
Is bolded just not working atm or something? Seriously seeing nothing, I can see Tom's list colors so I assume that the websites' text formatting isn't a separate script, so what gives.
@Rhand "I hope you’re not the one driving if you’re gonna catch up in the car"
^This, use hands off mode people stop texting and driving geez.
@Starling "Sorry for not using the actual quote system, but I really can't wrap my head around it. If it's too much of a pain I can link the post maybe, but it's on page 1 lol, so I don't think that should be an issue hopefully"
Don't worry you aren't alone on that, this website is not the most amazing forum-UI experience I've ever encountered to say the least.
@Amy "like lemme break this down further
starling's point is that they can't understand why lagoon, as town, would claim not to want to be roleblocked or redirected if he doesn't have a night action
lagoon's EXACT claim includes the phrase "it will interfere with my role", thus implying that whoever targets lagoon would be causing problems for lagoon, not for themselves
ergo, a scum who takes this at face value would OBVIOUSLY consider lagoon a juicy target for roleblocking/redirecting/what have you
so the POINT is that it's reverse psychology; lagoon as someone with no night action (regardless of whether or not he's vt) is like "please don't roleblock me it'll **** up my role uwu" in order to bait scum into roleblocking him, thus wasting their blocking action
and i think that this is a glaringly obvious line to take from lagoon. which is why i'm trying to figure out if starling not seeing it comes from a townie not thinking it through or a wolf failing to adopt the proper perspective/trying to throw shade"
Weren't people reading this as a possible early scum play though? Since that seems like it could be a very obvious trap.
Ok now to go find a list of death eaters names and try to figure out who's left I guess?
......I guess forms is probably other Riddles? I'm assuming that each Riddle and turned-Riddle is a Horcrux here, dunno how taking your place would work though, weird.

Haven't had one. Kept getting town power roles till Sumthing, hence my outlandish "f*** it let's do something silly" play there.
