Having retired from Commander a while back, I need to ask if Cartographer's Hawk is a substantial upgrade to the Mistral Chargers of the world?
I ask because the return trigger is mandatory, so you are forced to search up a Plains at the expense of bouncing your own Hawk. This feels like it will be a great effect in many scenarios, but I wanted to see if anyone here has more experience with the card.
Personally, I'm not a fan. I just don't think I wanna be bouncing an aggressive creature like this. That said I'm sure others will like it and there's definitely a case can be made for it.
I will come back to this eventually. I saw that the site was likely to close down, but it looks like all is well for the time being. Given broken promises before, I will tentatively say I might get back to this in a month or so, I've got some stuff over the next few weeks, and hopefully can get back into it after that.
Can anyone revive this thread? It's an amazing body of work and an extremely useful resource. I personally don't have the expertise to continue this project but would really appreciate if someone could. Thanks.
Thanks for your insights DJ, it really helps getting feedback on cards. Soulherder is one of the cards I really want to be good, but it often says "3 mana, gets removed". With so much efficient removal available for Peasant Cubes, it's super risky playing this.

I like this
I have my own views, but it's useful to get other's opinions.
Thanks
