Sep 25, 2017Firevine posted a message on Changes to MTGSalvation User AccountsThe answer is still no. No matter how many times you try to justify it. I'm sick of consolidation. I'm sick of merging accounts. I'm sick of crap like Arc and Glyph. I'm sick of websites asking for too much information. If I'm forced to merge MTG Salvation and Twitch, I just won't use either. Several people have mentioned not having Twitch accounts, and no desire to have one. This nonsense coupled with stifling, biased overmoderation on the site is going to be the death of it, and good riddance if that's the future.Posted in: Articles

Genuinely surprised that WotC put a full four Accumulated Knowledge in there.
Value is there in just the Planeswalkers at least, so that's cool.
So...how is that about the deck, rather than that particular player? If someone said that, PTFRF may have been their first experience seeing the deck piloted by upper echelon players.
Of course, the answer to his question is a resounding "yes".
I've been on G/U Infect for a long time, and I've always felt the potential was there. I think the mindset that it's a "cheap" deck kept people away from it. I have even tried to cheap out on it, by not running Hierarchs or fetches. (Currently un/self employed, and no one around here runs Modern anything anyway, so it's not been a priority)
One thing I found funny about commentary during the featured matches, was the reaction to Wild Defiance. Was it Buehler and Sutcliff perhaps? Anyway, when seeing Wild Defiance, there was a reaction of "Wild Defiance? Woooooooowwwww." And I was like "Yes guys, I've been running that for-freaking-ever now."
I'm testing right now to get a feel of the right build for me. Starting with two Become Immense. I want to get one when I need it, but I don't want a zillion mana spell clogging my hand. I dropped the Rancors I was running in a heartbeat. I'm glad the deck is getting some recognition now, and is creeping out from under the boot of being seen as a "cheap deck", both financially and mechanically.
Nope. Origins of characters I don't care about. I'll buy my one fat pack and carry on then.
This is actually my first time back on these forums after a couple years. Not familiar with the new interface yet.
Good to hear actually. Do you run a full set?
I also do not run Thassa or Coralhelms. Thassa was tempting as a one-of, but I've been wanting to give Monastery Siege a shot first. Coralhelm just seems too mana intensive, so I haven't bothered. I do go with 2-3 Reejerey's, and 0-2 Phantasmal Image. I have been running 22 lands though, so I can likely trim some fat there. I've just somewhat recently built the deck, and I rarely get a chance to play, but I've really been enjoying it. No one around here gives a crap about Modern though. It's all Standard or Draft.
I'm still trying to work out the kinks of what "my" build is. My biggest problem is wanting to cram all this cool stuff into a deck that has a super tight core.
1) Is there any room for Smallpox? I so want Smallpox to be good. If you run a tight curve, and are saccing dudes anyway, it might be worth a shot.
2) While I'm going to be testing BRW, I was considering something along the lines of the old Melira strategy. Would a Junk or Jund build using Melira and Kitchen Finks/Murderous Redcap be an idea, or is it too cutesy?
Pros: A first striking lifelinker can be sweet, and quickly become a monster just by Merfolk doing what Merfolk do.
Cons: Four Plains.
I've been reading comics for around 20 years. Delays are extremely common. Expected really. Only DC has kept on schedule lately, and that's taking artist changes and fill ins every few issues to do it. It's been this way for as long as I can remember.
Welcome to comics! This is standard operating procedure 'round these parts.
I pulled 3 Overgrown Tombs out of 12 packs of RtR. It's entirely a coincidence.
Wat? That seals it. Playing Boros aggro with all those blink effects.
Color pie fetishists man. Just ignore them, maybe they'll go away. They'll swear by that silly ass concept no matter how much it limits design.
Or howsabout people just stop using it altogether? "Strictly XXXX" is easily my biggest pet peeve on this site, followed by petition and "social experiment" sigs.
I am going to get paint markers and draw word balloons on every Skeletal Grimace that I get that say "LOL" in bold letters. That, or draw the actual Grimace.
The zombie is fun, I can dig it. 4/2 is no slouch, plus Wizards loves them some mill cards, so that can be a fun casual deck I suppose. The other cards I am pretty meh about.
I'd tap that.
...to destroy target creature.
To not get hit with OMG SPAM INFRACTION trigger happiness: I've never been impressed with the selections in these FTV sets. This one even less so. This is the Knights vs. Dragons of FTV.
