I was proud for a bit on the discussion with Xcric and FlossedBeaver. It seems both sides have a legitimate argument just from totally different sides. Both can be right. Just hope it doesn't start devolving into a pissing match.
I happen to be more on the Xcric side on this issue. The overwhelming of product is a concern (obviously anecdotely) for a number of people. It's not about being an adult and spending your money wisely or being influenced by FOMO, I find it more to be from long, long time collectors and players that just feel that keeping up with the game they love is getting much harder and not as thrilling because you can't even enjoy it before it's on to the next.
I still don't understand why Akiri or anyone else on Zendikar (besides the militant environmentalist Nissa) would NOT want the ROIL to End.

I think if we just Accept that the set will be slightly underpowered Then we can start evaluating on a realistic level
Party I still find hard to achieve at max value so maybe there will be more "party" creatures that do enough with 1 or 2, it seems that just any removal, combat damage, fighting, murdering, zapping, bouncing etc...etc... the feels bad can be real when it goes bad
The DFC tapped lands seem so far underpowered but have there slim value space
Nothing crazy Yet..that's for sure but we have a ways to go.. Maybe they will surprise us with something cool
