    I'm not sure if this will work or not, but in any case:
    The idea is that we take a subset of cards and give every card a rating from 1 to 6. Then, I count up the average rating. This is thus the rating of the card.
    The reason this is different from the best and worst cards threads is that every card gets a rating.
    What the ratings mean:
    1- Chimney Imp-level trash.
    2- Bad
    3- Meh
    4- Good
    5- Awesome
    6- So overpowered it neve should have been printed.
    The reason I'm not dividing this by format is that a card playable in Vintage will automatically have a higher rating- I realize limited and constructed have different needs, but the rating system allows you to take an average.
    So let's start with Shards of Alara white common. My ratings:
