It's funny - this card feels like a commander card but every time I thought of a card to use with it it seemed like a bad muldrotha on the back side and a bad seed born Muse on the front. I think that the home for this card is some card value deck in standard but unless we get an arcum's astrolabe type of cheap value I don't think crucible of worlds makes the cut in standard
Well it's a "bad muldrotha" for 3 instead of 6 and a "bad seedborn muse" for 3 instead of 5. Would you say Lightning Bolt is a bad Lava Axe? ^^
it's a bad seedborn muse for 5 instead of 5. and the bad muldrotha is a bad muldrotha - it is as fragile (artifact vs creature), is limited to snow, once a turn and doesn't have a 6/6 body. the mana cost of 3 means it slots better into a competitive 60 card deck - but I don't think that is an option for either anyways.

Potential for an effect that says creatures with haste get x. Ie creatures with haste get +1/+0 and can fart rainbows. "We never suspected the barbarians were looting and pillaging to spread joy and rainbows" - Verlander, the rainbow clad.
Wow sculptor is rime tender _downgraded_ - obviously we forgot that coldsnap was the ultimate powercreep set

Niko + serra's sanctum could be some hilarious mana generation. It essentially is the equivalent of like an everflowing chalice for artifact decks. Granted 200 dollar cards making cards fringe playable in edh or vintage isn't exactly saying too much about the card.
If someone was wondering who the invaders were, they could be told, "They Might Be Giants."

OMG...now I am so sad that WOTC didn't just pay whatever the cost was to have them do a preview card. Unfortunately I don't think a single song they did had anything to do with giants, snow or planeswalkers fighting phyrexians, nor did they really have anything heavy or even light metal. But still. I lol'ed.
This feels very serra ascendanty. Really feels funny for commander where it is turn 1 serra ascendent, 2 let's say bishop of wings for fun, 3 this for the lol I guess my angel deck is actually good and not just pretty pictures. But seriously - the potential for a modern angel/cleric stompy actually exists. It probably will play almost exactly like soul sisters with slightly different good/bad matches - but sadly a 3cc critter that does nothing on etb or leaving the battlefield doesn't exactly change any format - we already have a tier 2 white lifegain deck in standard that is still going to be tier 2 - it has the same accidently win potential of red deck wins, and doesn't really gain any good matchups with this card.
I actually rather like this card. The lack of colors stops chulane+amulet of vigor tricks with "gating" critters. (Cast Whitemane lion - play karoo land, tap for WX, bounce lion bounce land get approximately 50-80 landfall and etb triggers) but these lands are sorta like myriad landscape - stealth card advantage at the cost of slowing you down. Also they allow "fair" mana accel with our palinchrons, great whales, cloud of faeries and drakes. Would I be excited to get more than 4 of these? No. But it is an uncommon which is the correct rarity for a card that has fringe uses. I mean 95% of uncommons never see the light of day outside draft anyways
I don't know how many of you were around when legends was standard (what we used to call "not restricted or banned") but chains of mephistopheles and howling mine was oppressive. This requires a slightly newer instrument of suffering anvil of bogardan but you can lock your opponents out of non-instant speed removal. Almost makes me want to run og teferi, mage of zhalfir to properly oppress the people that once were my friends.
How about turn 1 mana dork, 2 spike feeder, 3 this and just crank the lifegain geometrically. It does almost everything that helios did with the addition of some green tricks/lifegain. (Slightly clumsy with ballista however)
Imoti has a pretty powerful effect.... but... 1 thoughness for 5 mana makes it nigh unplayable... dies to absolutely everything every time.
Your meta must be different from mine. 1 toughness may as well be 12 toughness. If you can't survive blasphemous act, austere command, ruinous ultimatum,cyclonic rift, damnation, all is dust,ultimatum, verdict, hallowed burial, any number of destroy a critter and sac a critter - you aren't safe. I think the last time 1 toughness was a death sentence was when a sword of fire and ice was wreaking havoc on 2 URX decks. And remember you aren't just getting a 3/1 - you also pick up a 0-4 cc off the cascade.
I have been asking for the witch mtgo art for a long time! Now we just need the elemental blasts from mtgo. Besides the wonderful art, the card sees a little pauper play and could use a reprint. Furthermore it is a fun political card and this set is the best fit for reprinting it. (Well masters 25 over erg raiders was a miss)
