I specifically targeted people who had passive abilities because I think in a role madness game it is pretty -EV if I end up targeting a town who actually does something, so I didn’t want to target someone unclaimed. I don’t understand why that is so weird?

This was a thought I had! I also had thoughts like
- Maybe the mafia went for the obvious kill of Vezok and there’s a Doctor who healed her, and obviously they wouldn’t claim because that tells us pretty much nothing about who could still be mafia. Maybe someone is a jailkeeper and blocked the kill. Maybe someone (Vezok FPSing? Someone KCC bus drove the kill into?) is secretly bulletproof and that’s why there was no kill. Maybe Wisp’s dreaming god thing from n0 stopped the kill still, somehow. Maybe something else happened with some wacky ability where fulcrum is town, I don’t want to get into a 1v1 if the result is misleading because then town might lynch me and then her when they find out I’m telling the truth, or anyone else who could have stopped the kill reveals which is really bad, and there are already more roles out than necessary right now after all those d1 claims.
- Or, maybe fulcrum is mafia and I got lucky and stopped the kill, but purely because of all the above possibilities, this result has little bearing on actually getting her killed, and she’s getting suspected by some people anyway, so there’s no need to claim it.
- I’m probably not getting nightkilled anytime soon given the claimed masons and how much pressure my slot has, so I can claim this result later
The reads post of 9 players were all people I was town or null reading, so yes, Fulcrum was not there d2.
I pick a player. That player isn't delayed, but when someone next targets them, that action isn't delayed either, but when that other someone uses another action, that action is the one delayed.
So, say I choose Player A on N1. Then, no one else targets A on N1, or on N2. But then on N3, player B targets A. That action hits A normally, but on N4, any action B makes is delayed to N5.
And her actions were apparently bus driving Axel and Nacho n1, and blocking Proph n2.
Killjoy, when you say someone has to be lying, is that limited to between me/Proph or is it a more complicated thing/you'll claim whenever you roleclaim? Proph being roleblocked is vouched for by KCC when I don't think they're w/w, and to a lesser extent dkings not receiving anything.

"Kind of side-eyeing [Vaimes'] claim" in 2465 - I had no specific objection to Vaimes' claim outside of him also apparently having the ability to gain other live people's abilities, so I kept this super vague. (I no longer feel this way, feel he's not w/w with Rhand on a surface level)
"I feel like [the n1 kill] was probably prevented another way" in 2454 - I would've doubted Tranquility prevented the kill anyway, but I at least knew there was at least one blocking action in play n1

I have a summer day ability, Preparation for Winter. I can target someone during summer days, and the next night they'll be roleblocked. This roleblock will happen even if I die during the day, and if I target someone who dies during the day, it doesn't do anything (I can't give a conditional action). I'm not sure if my block can be tracked/watched or blocked, but I'm guessing the answer is no. I can ask if needed.
I have a winter night roleblock, Queen of Winter. If I successfully prevent a non-factional ability, I'll lose Queen of Winter and gain a one-shot of whatever ability I prevented.

I softed this a couple times in pretty oblique ways, I'll fetch the posts in a bit.
I targeted fulcrum d1 after the season change, and dkings d2, so fulcrum was roleblocked on n1 and dkings on n2. I wasn't really sure what to do with the block given that there were no roles out I was skeptical of, and I was in a rush to submit my action d2 after Vezok said she would shoot early, so I was trying to target people I wasn't sure were town, where the block wouldn't have any effect if they were telling the truth (fulcrum said her abilities were all passive, dkings had already placed his BG.)
This also makes for kind of an aesthetically pleasing arrangement of overt disruptives - you've got KCC's block in spring, my block in summer/fall depending on when the seasons change, tom's one-shot JK in fall, and my other block in winter.
I haven't reread for partners at all and will probably be V/LA until the weekend.
The EOD3 flavor text mentions the prophecy of Hades/Rhand being the first mafia to die. I don't know what that means about the ability. Maybe it was just the increased maj because everyone agrees with a prophecy or something.
Should I claim first/now? I don't have info so I don't /think/ we'd lose anything by me going first, and it feels like an opportune time to look at the daykill thing.

Blue orbs give bulletproof to the targeter, don't they? Or did I mix those up, he claimed a roleblocking orb, a bulletproof orb, and a give-ability-name orb, he should hand out as many bulletproof ones as he can so we can chain them together is what I was trying to say
Also just highlighting that he clarified the bulletproof orb (whatever color that is) works on the targeting player not the player they target, so someone with a BP orb targeting Asta makes themselves bulletproof, not Asta
Sorry, I went back and checked and it was my bad. I mixed up bulletproof/blue and roleblock/green.
I could choose my target at any time during Summer. I could have chosen as soon as Nacho switched the seasons, although I didn't. The BG is semi-permanent (I think my breadcrumb made that clear). It's always on, but I can choose to change my target the next time summer rolls around. I did select my target last night. I would prefer to keep that a secret for now.
Rhand at L-2. Would prefer for no maj, though I will probably miss deadline. Do you have any last words or a final legacy, Rhand?

I'm kind of voting because we need to get maj, but something that sticks out to me is like, the backtracking about how his role works when people were expressing skepticism about using an ability the same night as he backed it up (I think it was mainly Axel? which could be a point against Axel/Rhand w/w, but Axel probably needs to bury him as his partner here anyway because he's the CW.)
I guess reading into that is kind of a rock and hard place situation because being able to use an ability in the same night is a bit weird (designating two targets?), but yeah, his new claimed role is a bit slow to become useful at all. Even Nacho's role could only speed it up by one cycle, and then only once in the game.

What do people think of this orb plan:
- Today, Proph uses one of his day shots to give a yellow orb to Axel (his target will learn his ability name) and confirms this in the thread. If he doesn't confirm this, Axel and Proph can do whatever in the night, since the yellow orb needs to be given for it to work.
- Tonight, Proph gives an orange orb to Asta (enables the ability name-telling to work.) Axel uses his fall ability, which tells him the names of abilities that target his target, on Asta.
Whoever people think is less trustworthy between Asta/Axel should claim Axel's supposed fall ability first, either toDay or early toMorrow. I think that's Axel atm. The other person confirms or denies.
If Asta learns the correct fall ability, we've confirmed the function of yellow orbs, and I guess that Axel wasn't lying about his fall ability name. If not, either at least one of the three is mafia, or somehow the chain got messed up because someone targeted Proph/Axel with a disruption ability. I don't actually know if this is worth it, but I don't think there's a better plan? And I also think it's good to have an orange orb on Asta anyway because bodyguard means Asta is living until late in the game, and if Proph is actually telling the truth, the orb could save him from a kill if he gets targeted by someone with a green orb, or get told an ability name if he gets targeted by someone with a yellow orb.

I assumed based on Rhand’s wording that he has to target a specific ability, and we don’t know Gemma’s abilities, so that made sense to me.
Asta is just the King, and apparently can only double vote in spring and summer, I don’t 100% see a day kill fitting there.

I feel like putting a janitored day kill with his backup ability presents an interesting trade-off - do you shoot someone and prevent yourself from stealing their role, or do you forgo the KP for the chance at stealing something later on? Does that idea make any sense? I probably need to go back and look at what Rhand posted specifically about the day kill, hmm.
I don’t really think KJ is the day killer. And I’m not, but I’m not sure how to prove the... absence of a role except by just claiming and having you all evaluate whether it seems to fit or something. But it’s very close to deadline, so I don’t see what we could gain from mass claiming now as opposed to toMorrow.
Dk was talking about the idea that the day kill happened because scum got to trade their night kill for it or something. To me, that seems a little esoteric along with any of the claimed roles too, but I’ve been wondering whether it could have been an inadvertent effect of someone’s ability - which probably just means Wisp. Idk maybe “tranquility” forced the mafia to kill during the day so the next night would be “tranquil”? It’s a stretch for sure.
