    If I changed Chromatic Variance to "Draw three cards and reveal them. Discard each card that shares a color with another card that was revealed this way, then discard each colorless card revealed this way." would that fix it? It is still roughly a draw 2 for 1 mana but requires a very carefully built deck of about 20/20/20 Lands/Blue/Color 2, if sticking to 2 colors. Also, if I raise the cost to 1U, would that make the card useless? 1U for draw 2 (with deck building hoops, doesn't sound terrible?

    Thanks for the help. I am surprised that the green one is a color break, but I do see why wizards might've moved from "destroy" to "enchant".

    As for planar pox, is there a way to properly word it this way:

    "You may lose 1 life, discard a card, sacrifice a creature, then sacrifice a planeswalker. If you do each other player then loses life, sacrifices, and discards cards the same way."

    Such that opponents only sacrifice a PW or Creature if you sacrifice a PW or Creature.

    Yeah, I am really considering the Ambusher instead of the Snake. Also as someone pointed out to me I am never going to sacrifice another creature to the sorcerer, so I'm thinking of just replacing it with another counter. Which seems best:



    Also, ugh, really wish we were just able to add a 4th color so we can run Blacklance Paragon, Abrupt Decay and Drown in the Loch :p

    The idea of this deck is simple. Don't tap out on your turn ever. Cast spells on your opponents turn to generate tempo boosts. This is basically a draw go deck, it just happens that some of the bounce and counter spells are also creatures.



    Other cards that I am considering in places of Bounding Krasis, Silumgar Sorcerer, Frilled Mystic are: nightpack ambusher and Elder Deep-fiend.

    Losing OUAT IMO has hurt the UG version of the deck. Additionally, looking at the statistical performance of the two version online seems like the RG version with its dual beatdown and combo plans is the correct build. As such, my personal list is the following. It was inspired by the storm list in the pioneer challenge (link provided in previous post) and then I modded it primarily because I think Mox Amber is really good as accel and it works well with the combo (if you have a legendary card in play you can cast Mox Amber and then a mana Dork without needing Ballista in hand). I also added two offs for Enter the Infinite and Shared Summons because getting them stuck in hand prior to going off feels really bad. I also switched up some of the PWs to add in more mana producing PWs as this deck is manahungry.

    The idea behind this deck is simple - mono blue devotion is already pretty solid, this deck ups the anti for opposing decks by making them worry about both your tempo creatures and the fact that you can smack down a Nyx and win on the spot with the Combo of Traumatize + Fraying Sanity. Some of the 1 drop creature drops were replaced with mill creatures to help play with the combo.
