This seems like the type of commander you can have fun with exactly once - then, everyone notices how potent it is and starts killing it on the spot. Out of all the Izzet spellslinger type commanders, this might still be up there for me though.
Yeah, this guy is basically just a remix (remizzix?) of Mizzix of the Izmagnus,
and she rates pretty far down on the “friendly” scale.
Exactly. This is not as good as anguished unmaking, utter end nor vindicate which can hit lands. That's why this isn't rare despite the flashback. It's not even as good as despark or vanishing verse. Alas, some decks indeed want and prefer cards which sacrifice permanents like Teysa, Orzhov Scion, so that's who benefits from this printing most.
This is better than Vindicate, and literally everything you mentioned is better than Utter End.
This is in a weird design space for Standard where you might end up really helping out some opponents,
but the payoff might be huge.
Probably a great card in Commander since it’ll be rare for other players to care about day/night,
and you can equip him with stuff like Runechanter’s Pike.
This is pretty awful.
Even without *any* land gifts, I doubt it would see that much play,
but they at least could have reduced it by 1 land per mode (so Naturalize is still unterrible),
but they decided to make this card comically bad instead.

(and the ability to go for seconds later).
Funny how Vindicate, once a source of awe, is now barely playable.

Without knowing for sure, I would guess that Ludevic was actually introduced in flavor text.
That or Maro was just plain wrong.
Seems like he didn’t do all his research first.
Also, this is very much just The Mimeoplasm minus G.
3 mana is a LOT LESS than 7,
so this is looking pretty good.
And where is Avacyn’s head?
And why all the blood?
so many questions...
but the payoff might be huge.

Not sure if their solution is any less of a pain.
Also not sure if Ayli wants this or not.
Probably not, she has actual card draw in B.
I’ve always had a thing for theft, and this is both cheap and extra dickish with the added Fateseal

Chase Uncommon imo.
