The thing is, I shuffled my opponent's deck for a minute or so and then after I was done, they kept shuffling my deck for an extra two minutes and then we got to talking about exactly how much time we were allowed to shuffle. I didn't mind him shuffling it but I just wanted to be clear on what the time limit was since I was kind of waiting on him.
But Kazandu Blademaster is already in play and Wings of Velis Vel never actually enters the battlefield. It merely changes KB into a 4/4 and gives it all creature types and flying.
I'm not sure I understand how KB is getting a +1/+1 counter.
I'm back to playing magic again. I have fond memories of this one very long game where I wound up at 1 life. I couldn't just falter and fall over. I had to live no matter the cost! So the next 2 hours featured me locking down the board in order to live. Try as they may, my opponents couldn't kill me. I had everything I can imagine out; teferi's puzzle box, confusion, pandemonium, genesis, grip, stranglehold...the works!
After a while, one of the players raged and simply left. But I was his ride! So he had to walk home and it started raining when he was halfway there! It was pretty far, must have been at least a 1hr walk. To this day, he has never played magic again. Shame. Though by the time he got home, the game still wasn't finished and I was still alive with 1 life.
The game ended uneventfully because I don't even remember what happened. I must have pinged myself with my pandemonium. Then it took like 5 minutes and the game was over. The player with the lone creature must have won. Such an epic game! It will be remembered forever. Bards will write songs about it.
Card is bad and fairly useless. Mediocre art too. Well, that's not the artist's fault. Essentially, the card depicts a bunch of rocks. How could that ever be made to looking exciting?
Poor choice all around for artwork and playability. Wonder how bad October's promo will be...
If I wasn't interested when they spoiled the Alara legends, I'm certainly not interested now. None of the new art makes this worth it...FTV : Alara. Most of these legends are already easily accessible to everyone (except the portal ones). The card selection just seems bad in general and the price spike just doesn't help. I think the portal legends were a nice addition since they're super rare and people seem to want them but this set has done nothing to spark any of my interest.
More new art on old legends? That might have been better than new art Alara legends. Not to mention the new art on the Alara legends is really meh.
I convinced a friend to build a homarid deck which quickly evolved into a seafood deck with giant oysters, various fish, crabs and I think it even had some Marjhans and stuff.
I had an Aurochs deck and some one else had an Orc deck.
It was pretty funny. A bird deck would be fun...or a rat deck.
Why are Sharuum and Rafiq only probably while Kiki-Jiki is on the list?
Last I checked there are plenty of Legendary Akki it could plausibly be.
Is there another Kiki-Jiki source other than the one listed?
Been wondering this myself.
Kiki-Jiki showed up on the same banner as Rafiq and Sharuum. Anywhere else it was confirmed?
I know people like goldfishing for merfolk, but it's KIOra, not KOIra.
I'm not sure how expressive Karn's face can be, but he looks mellow enough in this pic. Hopefully he's gotten over the whole "I'm the cause of Phyrexia's return".
I thought Koira was a little fishy. But you don't hear me carping.
Thanks

Moving on...this 2 mana walker seems like fun.

Maybe at the end of the block we'll see "Garruk Liberated".

Thanks for the info!
He kind of looks like a ninja turtle.

Maybe she has Kithkin blood.
