When do I start flipping to decide what gambit does? Once the ability on the stack resolves or when I play it? I just want to know if I can tap all my lands for mana "in response" to knowing I will get to untap all my lands.
I've skimmed over the last 20 pages or so of this thread and am really interested in building enchantress to play at Legacy tourneys now that the points don't matter :|
All decklists look very similar but none have any Green Sun's Zenith. The deck is tight for spot but this could serve as your 5 Enchantress and a 1 of Dryad Arbor could be added to make some additional use out of this card.
I think you should try to use both. The HoTP is better then Virtue in my opinion when the all the white creatures are now effected. I also think you should keep the shrines in the deck with the Crusader. Also on the Angelic Destiny, the card had a high potential of losing card advantage because of the chance of instant speed removal, so I would keep the swords in.
I am currently making a multiplayer Zedruu deck and I have some more suggestions for you.
Any UW deck has Azorius Guildmage. It is just amazing, tap creatures or counter activated abilities for 3 mana. You must find a spot for this little guy.
Otherwise some more utility lands like Boseiju, Who Shelters All. Since this is a 1v1 deck you may play against a lot of permission.
Propaganda is lack luster, your better off giving them Statecraft. Much harder for them to get around, and Zedruu doesn't deal a whole lot of damage to them.
So, I've been busy playing League of Legends. I know I keep saying I will check in every now and then but I keep forgetting. Magic is starting to go onto the back burner....
Well after reading 50% of the posts that I missed I'm sad to see that I have been moved to inactive and only have 5 posts on this new thread. Magic is starting to dissapoint me, I'm moving back to my White Weenie roots. I have found a new game called League of Legends and have been spending lots of time playing and less time posting. I will try to chime in every now and again. Welcome new people.
Side Note: Weapons Master? I never know the dimir had weapons except our guards. I want a better rank! Something like supreme torturer in the information gathering section.
So what do people think of the new duel deck? Elspeth vs The Mighty Tezzeret.
Coming out at the worst time ever. Your theoretically paying 25 bucks for a $50 card (Elspeth) just as she is about the rotate. I hate you wizards and your well thought out timing! :argh::argh::argh::argh::argh::argh::argh::argh:
Oh, and I took a break from MTGS and took up runescape again along with a new game called League of Legends from the same people who made DoTA Allstars for Warcraft III. Very nice game.
Yeah, I went there. It's funny. Elementary school was like, "You're playing pokemon, awesome!" And then High School was like, "You're playing pokemon? What are you, five?" And college is like, ""You're playing pokemon, awesome!"
Everyone at my high school plays pokemon. Many battles occur over lunch.
He played smother targeting my archmage, I told him he archmage was not a legal target and he took smother back to his hand. I called a judge and told him that smother had a legal target (Bob) and that his creature should be destroyed. The head judge ruled that he could take back smother.
With UW becoming so popular I believe it would be a good idea to slow down this deck to become more mid-range(ish). RDW is the fastest deck now and we can shut them up with a few well placed firewalkers so what we need is a good matchup with control and Jund. Vamps is a wildcard, my matchups are usually 50/50 when I see them.
Slowing down the deck will make our threats harder for UW control and Jund to deal with. Levelers are exactly what we need. Fast hitters but become major threats that UW cant handle, like 9/9 lifelinking Transcendent Master. Here is what I'm thinking of...
With threats that are difficult to kill and hard hitting like Elspeth and the Levelers along with cards that give you major board presence like Caption of the Watch/CPledge. When coupled with Emeria for late game recursion aginst control this could end up out classing control/Jund.

thoughts?
To your list I would:
-2 Angelic Destiny
-1 Oblivion Ring
-1 Elspeth Tirel
and this last one is a hard cut.
-1 Midnight Haunting
Then add:
+2 Sword of Feast and Famine
+3 Shrine of Loyal Legions
Another option is keeping the midnight haunting and only adding 2 shrines.
I just feel like the presence and board impact of a shrine is an essential part of the deck and shouldn't be removed. Just my 2c

-Frost Titan
-Pilgrim's Eye
-Rust Elemental

Welcome back Krack
I had Glen Elendra Archmage and my opponient had Dark Confidant.
He played smother targeting my archmage, I told him he archmage was not a legal target and he took smother back to his hand. I called a judge and told him that smother had a legal target (Bob) and that his creature should be destroyed. The head judge ruled that he could take back smother.
Was the ruling wrong?

4 Student of Warfare
4 Transcendent Master
4 Knight of the White Orchid
4 Kor Skyfisher
2 Captain of the Watch
3 Elspeth, Knight-Errant
Spells
3 Honor of the Pure
3 Oblivion Ring
3 Brave the Elements
3 Path to Exile
2 Conqueror's Pledge
2 Basilisk Collar
2 Emeria, the Sky Ruin
2 Dread Sanctuary
20 Plains
