This is far from the best take on G Devotion, but it's so janky I want to try it out. The idea being to make a bunch of wolves, abuse ETB triggers with Temur Sabertooth, and win with Craterhoof or a Garruk Ult. That or Broko.
With bant wouldn't eldrazi displacer be better than Sabertooth? You can play with some of the pain lands for the colorless. Just a thought.
4 wicked wolf
1 acidic slime
2 questing beast

2 nightpack ambusher

Round 1) went 2-0 vs mono green Tron. Game one ( on the play) was a turn two questing beast fallowed by a turn tree acidic slime on Tron land and oko. He scooped after oko. Game 2 ( on the draw) sided in collectors and Ceremonious rejection. Turn 2 countered his Karn liberated , turn 3 was an oko and left up Mana for frilled mystic. He played wurmcoil and Karn the creater. Countered the creater with mystic. Turn 4 grabbed his wurm with oko and played once apon a time hit questing beast and swung for 4. He flipped his top card of his deck and it was a basic forest and scooped.
Round 2 went 2-0 vs bant eldrazi.
Game 1: oko ftw!
Game 2 :oko and wolfbrair kicked for 7 During her end step with a prophet.
Round 3 went 2-1 vs esper control
Game 1 ( on the play)was a close one but a top deck questing beast and nightpack closed it.
Game 2 (on the draw )he day every answer
Game 3 was a blow out. Turn two oko played veil when he tried to counter drew a questing beast on turn 3. Turn 4 was a mystic and he was done.
Thoughts , the simic flash is strong! Questing beast and oko were all-stars.
So my local Meta is 60% Tron. Either e-tron or green Tron. The others are 1 deathshadow , 2 control, 1 bant eldrazi.
This is what I was thinking of running this next FNL.

What is everyone thoughts?
That's certainly a spicy take on Devotion (to Wolves)! The only bit I don't like is the Spiraling Growth, because we run a low land count, there is low likelihood of actually hitting a land off the top. I'd definitely recommend Oath of Nissa in that slot, as it digs you 3 deep, can also grab creatures/planeswalkers, adds to Devotion, and only costs 1.
Sweet brew though!
I was thinking that was going to be my weak point at first glance. I only put it there cause I have those already. I see why oath is better
Have you ever played with the primal command eternal witnesss combo? I curious on how viable it still is.
So I played in last weeks Fnl ( my first time playing in almost 4 years) I haven't finished my mono green devotion deck yet so I played my mono G Tron. It wasn't long till I noticed that 60% of the local Meta is either e-tron or mono green Tron.. LoL the other 4 decks that showed up where bant eldrazi, mardu elementals, UW control and jeskai control. How does green devotion fair against Tron style deck? What game plays / sideboard plans I should implement? I really want to surprise everyone and shake things up a bit. I noticed alot of d-sphere and Alpine moons in people's sideboard.
The deck grinds incredibly well and has a very reasonable matchup with Control/Midrange in additional to usually favorably aggro/creature matchups. The sideboard is trying to address Combo/Big Mana decks, against which you have very little play game one.
I am big believer in keeping low curve and being able to run under/combo fast, because otherwise it's too easy for the opponent to disrupt/kill your dork or two and be stuck with expensive payoffs. Still testing Mystic packages, but Sword of Feast and Famine has been absolutely great, very relevant protections and ability.
Cool I just moved to Seattle to, where are you playing at, everywhere I play I'm the only devotion player lol
Hey! I live in Belfair! Washington devotion group!
So I maybe way off here on my thoughts on Yorvo so please forgive my lack of current meta/ play knowledge. But a big creature without any kind of evasion ( like flying, trample, shadow, ect) means that he can be chumped blocked all day no matter how big he gets. However I do have to say it would be super funny to put like 1 fling into the deck to to toss him at someone.
Post a deck here. I understand typing it out I just don't know how to make the car names blue so people can look at them. Like how you post your deck lists curdbro.
Walking ballista
Vraska, Swarm's Eminence
Bow of Nylea
Infinite ballista shots
