something i noticed about the 3rd puzzle: both people in the picture are the same person...as if he is killing an image of himself. same armor, weapon hair...just the same....but. one has a rope around his waste, and one has a shield...hm
both probably have a shield you just cant see in on one of their hips
yea gatekeeper does not look like it belongs in this deck, just run doomblades, i cannot think of an creatures of shroud you should be concerned about and you have enough other removal to deal with black creautes
I had established board control at around 5 like and had gotten my opponent down to 8. he tries to kill me with a lethal earthquake, but i have safe passage. So he brought himself to 3 and ***'d his board, it was awesome
Wow... so you lost your 21/21 and he kept everything?
What did you end up with left on defense to fight off an 8/8 matca rioters, rakeclaw gargantuan, and sureblade?
Manaforce does not give first strike so the bloodhall ooze traded with everything.
And if that was your only win condition at that point then that really sucks, but i have heard that a 4 for 1 is really good in limited especially when you only pay R for your threat
Unless you're playing something that turns lands into mountains (Elsewhere Flask reprint anyone?) without losing their original type (so discount Blood Moon) then it's good but not great.
What deck that we currently run goes:
Mountain
Mountain
Mountain
Mountain
Mountain
Valakut - Active
Land, deal 3.
The metagame is going to be completely different when this comes out, so no, there is no deck currently goes like that. But when Zendikar comes out this is gonna make RDW viable.
Who is going to keep a hand with Rampant Growth, Forest, Exploration, 3x Mountain, Valakut? Seriously?
Unless there's some strange and wonderful way to switch land types in Zendicar then by the time it becomes active, the Baloth has already killed you.
Junk rare.
Why would anyone play this outside of a mono red decks, or maybe a red deck with a very small splash for bloodbraid. There is no point. It is not like you are trying to build a combo deck around it. This land just gives mono red the late game it needs, yes RDW is suppose to win by turn 7 or 8 but that doesn't mean that it always can. This card should be a 2-3 of in RDW and it is not a junk rare
nice! i got a similar story; my own m10 prerelease was won 4-0 =(60 players) and i hadn't sealed since conflux came out.
why did you use rise from the grave on your gravedigger? wouldn't it have been a lot simpler than to just use it on your nightmare? oh and i've heard of people MDing ignite disorder. your thoughts on that?
He used rise from the grave on his opponenet's gravedigger. Doing that got him more card advantage which is definitely worth missing a few swings with nightmare
I found that to draft the mill deck, it needs to be UR. You need traumatize or jace, but both is bettetr obviously. Then you have to draft all the tome scours, burning inquirys, and walls you see. Just muck up the board with walls, then you mill them.
What I like about Leviathan is that the upheaval effect can be really devastating, especially on the Unearth, but Hellkite has Flash, so I'll probably end up running him once I get one.
The reason I like Divination over Sign in Blood is mainly the mana cost. It's a lot easier for me to swing 2U on the third turn then it is BB on the second, mainly just because of the curve of the other three drops, notably Jace and Fallout. That way Divination is for all intents and purposes equivalent to 2 extra turn 3 'Drifters.
Well i don't think you list actually needs more card draw. If you add in 4x Makeshift, i would say cut the 2 rise from the grave and 2 divnation, as makeshift often returns mulldrifter. And for 4x broken ambitions just cut double negative, sometimes it is a blowout against bloodbraid, but broken t2 is key for keeping up with fast decks.
This is completely untested, I just wanted to get some feedback before I sleeved it up. The original counter suite was 4 Broken Ambitions/2 Countersquall but I figured a 3/3 split of Soul Manip./Countersquall was probably better since both are, by and large, useful against just about any deck. I basically made this to be a card advantage machine until you draw one of the six win-conditions, being Nucklavee, Bolas, Cruel, Leviathan. Essentially every card in the main is going to net you a potential advantage of +1 card. The card drawing suite is pretty good too, I think, seven draw-2 effects plus Jace, you plow through the deck pretty quick.
I'm toying with the idea of playing Pyroclasm over Fallout because of Nucklavee and the easier casting cost but I'm not sure that's correct.
Another change I'm considering is MD'ing 2 Infest over Rise from the Grave, even though I love RftG, and replacing it with Anathemancer in the side.
Basically what makes it 'budget' is the lack of Cryptic and Ref. Pool, neither of which I'm going to buy. Too much money to be worthless in three months.
Run makeshift over rise from the dead. Also sign in blood is a better draw spell then divination. Kederekt is a pretty bad finisher. You could easily play Hellkite or Siege Gang.
As for VF vs Pyro, go VF, it just completely wrecks faerie and its an instant
fling deals the damage so that is not as broken as you think
this. haha
both probably have a shield you just cant see in on one of their hips
No love for the looter? Looters are always good in limited even at 2U.
