From the now-doomed Scars of Mirrodin, I bring you the Electrocharge intro deck- having fun with charge counters.
Chargevolt Myr3
Artifact Creature — Myr (R)
Chargevolt Myr gets +1+1 for each charge counter on it.
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may move any number of counters from target creature onto target nonland permanent.
Whenever Chargevolt Myr has one or more counters placed on it, if they’re not charge counters, instead put that many charge counters on it. 2/2
All the Scaabs are absurdly good if you run Forbidden Alchemy. Seirously, it's a strong card on its own- you can fetch the creature you need, dump the rest, and use the dumped cards to play it. Gloriousness. And, of course, Deranged Assistant helps.
I've been a long-time artist and a long-time Magic player, so when I get hyped about a new set, I usually end up churning out some artwork to celebrate it. Nothing too fancy, of course, but it happens. Sometimes I just get "inspired", sometimes I go and make fake card illustrations. I figured I could make this thread home to all that art.
This card is awesome. I need a playset just for the fact that in casual, it's almost always better than Doom Blade. That being said, I am in love with the art. Maybe in lust. I can't tell.
But my god is there some dynamic emotion in that piece.
And I've done a few bits of art related to Mirrodin. One is a nim, the next a myr, and the last is my interpretation of a humanoid phyrexian (not fitting with the style guide, but hey).

You may have lands you control produce 2 instead of the mana they would normally produce.
Whenever a land is put into a graveyard from play, you may add 2 to your mana pool.

I see a man, hooded and standing alone on a cobblestone road at night. He holds in his hand a golden, glowing stone that illuminates the right half of his body.
I wonder if you just cost your company a catering/delivery job?
What makes you say that? They didn't do anything wrong- they wouldn't even let me stop while we walked, so WotC has nothing to complain about, really. Plus, they print all over the country. If they want to backtrace my IP to find the probable printing location, by all means, but even if I had free reign in that place I would literally have to tear into packages to get much more than this. Plus, you know, for proper distribution they probably print in a dozen states.
This one wins, cause thats what I'd be worried about, that and if I still had a job....cause I doubt thats the case after making the company lose money like that.
This is a massive jump to conclusions! Cool your heels, kiddo.

If I was there, I totally would've asked for a sheet of cards. Errors, whatever, I would've asked.
Touche'... though they all seemed pretty rushed and busy working as they do. I don't think I was really allowed inside for more than the duration of my walking so... =/ But was probably worth a shot.
Nowhere did he claim this was all; it can't be, both for the reason you say, and because it leaves out red. If there are 4 rather than 5 precons it's probably because they want to do 2 Mirran and 2 Phyrexian.
Ah, yes, sorry, when I said "that's all", I meant information, not total number of decks. There were certainly more deckboxes, just not that I could get a glimpse of at the time. And 2 and 2 sounds about right to me, given that the decks were very clearly marked with the mirran/phyrexian watermark.
I couldn't really get pics, since I was forced to keep walking and accompanied by someone through the whole building. It was mostly just peripheral viewing. Doubt I could go back.
So, this is technically news and belongs on the Rumor mill, but I doubt it'll surprise anyone (hah, I'm so good at hyping myself, right?). Anyway, I work for a delivery company. I brought a delivery to a large company the other day, and as I took the massive delivery through the industrial warehouse, I saw stacks of cards, 4 feet by 4 feet sheets stacked as tall as a man. There were Scars of Mirrodin cards, certainly- I picked out Fulgent Distraction and Perilous Myr among others as I went. But then there were stacks of cards currently face-down and sealed with a sign "wait for QC", that would be Quality control, I can only assume. Mirrodin Besieged, perhaps?
Long story short, down the line I walked by, there were stacks of the still-flat deck boxes for Besieged. I couldn't make out the words for the names, since I couldn't stop, but I could read the logo and I saw the symbols, so here's the one little glimmer of fact from this long story: MB will have one Green/White Mirran precon and one Blue/Black Phyrexian Precon. That's all I have.
Regardless of playability (and I think he's incredibly playable), I just looovveee the flavor of the Master. 2-of for my cleric deck, even if he in no way helps it otherwise. Just too cool.

Look for more to follow! I'll update as it comes.
Seriously? Cavotta keeps getting better and the look of this piece is fantastic- one of my favorite Phyrexians to date.
But my god is there some dynamic emotion in that piece.
What do you guys think?

Edit for clarification.
