Purchased lots in the past, recently ordered a card from them. Waited a month after telling him it never arrived before saying something again, refunds me then blocks me from buying from again after I left positive feedback.
Is there a reason no one uses Luminarch Ascension in their sideboard for control matchups? I would think it would be nice especially the people running mesa enchantress.
Here is my fun deck of taking peoples things and hitting them with it. I think the deck made itself for the most part. This is the pre ROE version I'll be taking to the last FNM.
The idea is to abuse Bazaar Trader by stealing their creatures with Act of Treason/Mark of Mutinyand then donating them to yourself or sacrificing them after attacking with the Vampire Aristocrat. Abyssal Persecutor is nice and huge with no real draw back with 12 ways to get rid of it after it has done its job. Siege-Gang Commander with Vampire Aristocrat is a cute interaction reminiscent of the Lorwyn T2 days with R/B tokens and Nantuko Husk where you sac all the goblins to the vampire and have a 12/12 vampire if you really want.
I honestly haven't thought of anything for the sideboard yet. I just wanted to get this out there to see if anyone had any ideas before FNM! Immortal Coil + bog for control matchups I guess... but it is probably still too fragile at a 2 or 3 card combo.
Post Rise of the Eldrazi -I think I will exchange the Vampire Aristocrat for the new Bloodthrone Vampire because it will be nice to curve turn 2 sac/donate outlet into one of the 8 steal your creature effects and the deck is crazy glutted at the 3 drop spot. The Siege-Gang Commander will trade for Sarkhan the Mad. Steal their creature and turn it into a 5/5 dragon sounds exciting
Please let me know if you have any ideas for cards that I should consider or what you think in general ! <3
What do you sideboard out for the cards tho? It seems to me like everything is really needed in the deck... do you just go down to 3 ofs for everything?
How did Sorin keep you alive with his second ability? Do you mean you put your opponent at 10 and burned them out or what? It sounds like you used it on yourself but that is not possible...
whats the point of harrow ? to thin your deck? sacrifice an island for two forest for nightpack? why not just use rampant growth or are you trying to thin your deck of lands/sac island for night pack?
I've always been a fan of kitchen finks but they never saw play =( I thought they would be cool for early blocking/card draw. Would you want to try stillmoon cavalier in place of black knight? gain pro black (what good it does i dunno? not many people play black targets) but you would gain the pump ability to use all your mono colored goodness
Ok it's not really stompy but I want to use Lorescale and try to get it to tier2 for FNM fun before stuff rotates. I was wondering about trying Garruk or something. I have access to most cards (except Reflecting pools or the g/u filters) I was just throwing in random 1ofs which is probably a terrible idea for consistency. Liege and Clone have been fun the 1 time each I've played them (Clone a hellkite and pew pew things) and Liege untap is fun with a 13/13 lorescale... win more I guess.
Hi this is solax's friend (painter of the lovely eyesland a few posts prior) and I've been reading the thread for a while looking for ideas and techniques. In particular I am a fan of cardkitty's works and contributions, and reading the debate I wanted to share my two cents about the text borrowing issue...
I understand that it does seem rude to use somebody else's material without first asking or citing, whether it is something big or small. I might feel the same way if someone used something I made but ignored me as a person. The thing about the internet is that we rarely think about the people that are behind the text and how we might approach them in real life, as if the internet is an anonymous medium. Which it is sometimes, incidentally, and lots of images, pages and source code are made free and accessible to anyone who wants to use them. In this context it seems an honest mistake to assume an author was OK with their material being copied. Citing sources is easy to do but easy to overlook, given the nature of the internet as a gray area for all things. Good communication and clear intention seems like the best way to settle things like this.
That being said, has any artist considered "decorating" cards? as in abstract shapes or strangely colored borders, as an alternative to extensions of the existing art? I tried a Sign in Blood the other day adding some bloody runes to the sides and embellished borders along the edges kindof like the pages of the book. This might be a good approach to altering cards if say an artist is terrible at blending or painting people. Thoughts, ideas? (Apologies if this has already been talked about earlier. This thread is massive and I have not gotten through all of it yet. We are around page 350)

"Whenever you play a Spirit or Arcane spell, you may return Yuki-Onna to its owner's hand"
I feel it is not but wanted to make sure!
