I see. Kansas City is the week right after.

And I leave to go home tomorrow - I won't really be here tomorrow or Friday.

Fortunately, I can't take the thread with me when I jump into the ocean, so it'll probably be here when you get back :p

I just don't have a whole lot to say right now. How is everyone doing this evening?

Slightly inebriated. Feeling pretty ready for Miami next weekend! WOOO!

I'm afraid both that I don't know the deck to which you refer, nor am I awake enough to offer constructive and useful advice.

    LED+Auriok Salvagers+Pyrite Spellbomb

    is the Bomberman Combo

    Nice.

Soooooo... If somebody wanted to bring Bomberman into modern what changes would she have to make and would that be a good idea?

LED would have to be swapped for Lotus Bloom but that's it I think.

No idea how good it would be.

Do I need to put out a pedant alert in this thread??

I think so. Mostly just because I wanna see what it looks like.

Good thing an Island isn't a non-red spell, then. :p

    Fine. Non-red, non-mountain card.

I think Snapcaster needs to go in - right now, I'm thinking of cutting Ulvenwald Tracker, Ancestral Vision, and a Mountain for Snapcaster Mage, Dryad Arbor, and an Island.

I disagree with your decision to cut a mountain for non-red spells. In my experience, that's usually a mistake. :p

Awww... I love Fight Bear. Frown

I hate that guy. He usually brings large dudes that just kill all of my ****ty creatures. I Pillar him on sight, every time.

    Sounds reasonable.

Does anyone have MSE? My friend and I need to make creature tokens but we both have Macs. I need to get some Ham Sandwich Tokens ready for GP Miami.

I don't think the two are related, but I don't think I should cut a land. If anything, I feel I should go to 38 lands.

I edited the list in there for reference.

They're definitely related. You should see how many lands I'm trying to play in my standard deck. It's called 20% Crazier for a reason lol.

I think I'd try cutting Momentous Fall. Every other card just seems so much better.

Not sure I have much more to say really.

    I wouldn't be a very good friend if I wasn't, really.

That's the easy part, the hard part is keeping it all that way .

    Fair.

    Friendship is definitely Magic.

Not for me! Once I have a system in place, keeping it going is easy. The tough part is setting it all up.

Well, I'm back, and Riku EDH seems to be going well. I still need to squeeze in a Snapcaster Mage somewhere, but I'm not sure exactly what to cut for it. Obviously, it has to go in, because being able to get more ramp spells can't be a bad thing. Smile

I would cut a land. But you probably shouldn't listen to me because I'm clearly a maniac.

No, I was correct the first time. You drink too much. The fact you are comparing a certain amount of one drink to the same amount of another drink and trying to rationalize it is further concerning.

I'm not disagreeing with you that I drink too much. We can talk more about my health if you want to privately, but this thread really isn't the place for it.

I appreciate the concern over my well being regardless, thank you.

On a less serious note, organizing my collection is lot tougher than I thought it would be! I've got most of it block sorted now, but set sorting and alphabetizing everything is going to be a real pain.

I don't blame you. We keep the Naar Isle so that we can feel free to play some rather broken decks and not feel really bad about it.

My friend loves that plane. I didn't mind it either, it always let us play more games in one evening than usual. I tend not to play Planechase EDH much (pretending I played EDH much period) nowadays. The variance in a 99 card highlander format is usually enough for me without planes.

I played archenemy once and did not care for it. I like to think I have a chance to win, not try to overcome a huge disadvantage. :p

I haven't ever tried that format. None of the locals like it nearly as much as they do plane chase.

And the problem with this is???

There isn't one if you enjoy vomiting and intense pain in your head/eyes/ears. Unfortunately, I'm not a total Masochist so I don't find either of those things pleasurable. :p

Bold part being where you went wrong in the situation.

I think you need to bold a few more words after drank to be correct. I can drink as much vodka as I want and (usually) not suffer any immediate consequences for it. I don't know what it is about wine that gets me, but it's happened to me both times I've drank too much of it.

Regarding EDH, I haven't actually played it in forever. I think I could probably combo off turn 4 or 5 if completely undisrupted and I get the nut draw with my Jenara deck though.

Ugh, I feel awful. I think I drank too much wine and now I have a migraine. Already puked twice.

Well, it goldfished to a T6 win (okay, T7 if you insist) win.

T2 Fauna Shaman, T3 Wood Elves, T4 Riku, T5 double Cultivate, T6 Palinchron -> infinite mana.

I'd consider that a successful test run.

    Sounds fairly unreasonable.
